About this deal

In 2268, the USS Enterprise, on a mission in the 20th century, encountered Gary Seven, an agent of a benevolent alien power that interfered to prevent civilizations from destroying themselves. He was accompanied by a cat named Isis, who was more than she initially appeared to be. Exactly what she was remained a mystery. She was evidently capable of understanding Gary Seven, and of communicating with him in at least a rudimentary fashion. She accompanied him wherever he went. ( TOS: " Assignment: Earth") a b c d Wieland, Rob (14 March 2017). "The serious absurdity (and purrfection) of Jenny Parks and 'Star Trek Cats' ". Nerdist. Legendary Entertainment . Retrieved 22 February 2018. Trek Trivia: While The initial “T.” was given as Captain Kirk’s middle name, it wasn’t until the novelization of Star Trek: The Motion Picture that the name Tiberius was used. Maybe you can name your kitty after the legendary Enterprise captain James T. Kirk — a name for a cat who is both thoughtful and action-oriented.

Spot was a female cat, and Data's pet in the 2360s and 2370s. She lived with him while he served aboard the USS Enterprise-D and -E. She had a litter of kittens with one of the other cats on the Enterprise-D. Data once wrote a poem about her, entitled " Ode to Spot". ( TNG: " Schisms", " Genesis") Actually, this one is more of a shape-shifting alien cat who can occasionally turn into a woman, and then mostly does it to mess with people’s heads. (Wouldn’t your cat?)In 2267, the alien Sylvia demonstrated the power to assume the form of a cat. She accomplished this feat with the aid of a device called the transmuter, which was the one element of her wardrobe that did not change shape. ( TOS: " Catspaw") Spot is the second of six recurring pets; the others were Livingston, Chester, Porthos, Number One, and Grudge. Another pet on the Enterprise-D was Christina, a Lycosa tarantula owned by Chief Miles O'Brien.

Think about naming your cat after Lieutenant Reginald Barclay, the systems diagnostic engineer of the U.S.S. Enterprise-D. In the anti-time future seen by Jean-Luc Picard, Data had amassed a diverse collection of cats while a professor at Cambridge University. ( TNG: " All Good Things...") A scene that was cut from Star Trek Nemesis revealed that Worf was left to care for Spot. In the scene, Worf and La Forge were cleaning out Data's quarters. Worf heard a noise, and looked up. Immediately after, Spot jumped into his arms. Worf stated that he "was not a cat person." La Forge then said, " You are now." This scene, along with other deleted scenes, was added as an extra on the film's Special Edition DVD. Although this was the first episode of TOS Season 2 in production (filmed in early May 1967), it did not premiere until the week of Halloween, 1967. It was, in fact, written in a Halloween-type theme for just that reason. This episode also remains to date the only Star Trek production produced as a "holiday special" type episode. In the TNG short story "On The Spot" from the anthology The Sky's the Limit, following the events depicted in the deleted scene where Spot jumps into his arms, Worf assumes the role of caretaker for Spot after Data's death. Worf, after Spot assists with hunting down an alien infestation on the Enterprise, states that he finds her to be a warrior, who simply lulls people into a false confidence as a cat.

The Lincoln Enterprises biography of M'Ress similarly expanded on the Caitians, stating that they tended to be small and sinewy, with their females delicately dainty. Although this book is more an homage than a comedy, it nevertheless has its funny moments. Many of the illustrations recall specific moments in favorite episodes, and some of these moments are very cute indeed. (I did laugh out loud at one of the Tribbles pictures.) A handy chart at the end of the book lists the episodes reenacted.
