About this deal

Whether you’re on a busy commute or busy working from home, a reliable pair of noise-cancelling headphones goes a long way towards helping you stay focused and distraction-free. This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. The overall quality feels good. There is some play to all joints, but IMO not bothersome. The biggest downside is the pads. They are faux leather and thin. Similar to CB-1 but these feels softer, though that might just be an age thing on the CB-1s (which by the way, the leather has lost some of its surface on). The point is, they will wear out eventually. Here is the catch, they are GLUED in place. Sorry, no easy replacements on these, even on parts that wear out. Battery Life: I use these every single day, from when I head out the door in the morning to the end of the day and I never had a problem with the battery dying on me at any point. Trust me, I use these HEAVILY. I use them ALL DAY and charge them at night. However, the battery life does drain faster than the Raycon Everyday Headphones. For example, I turned the headphones on at about(w/ full battery) 12:30 in the afternoon and by 6 it's at 70%. Raycons will stay at 90-80% for a good 2 hrs before dropping. They last the whole nap I take.

The headphone is in mostly plastic. The headband is supported by a thin sheet of metal on the outside in the sliding mechanism. Most surfaces has a rubbery finish. It is easy to leave fingerprints on it, otherwise it looks fine. There is a bit of small shiny plastic on the piece clamping the ends of the faux leather the headband. The right one of these are marked SAANC-FS in a muted gray. Otherwise there are no visible markings, so they are discrete and classy in that way. The faux leather is soft and feels nice against the skin. I've noticed that the lowest volume of the headphones don't match the lowest volume of my phone. If that makes any sense. My Raycons could be at the lowest setting and I would still hear music or a video playing. These headphones don't do that for me. I tend to take naps with headphones on and these headphones infere with that. The lowest setting is still too loud in my opinion. Not going to go too deep here as I'm not good with all the descriptive words usually used, but a few things are to be noted. How you feed and listen to the these has a noticeable difference on the sound quality. Lets start with fit, as this baffles me the most. I'm an above average length male, but as head size is not necessarily representative, my head circumference is about 57-58 cm. This seems to put me in upper medium/large when it comes to hat sizes. Other than Bluetooth there is no obvious way to get audio and mic connected to a PC. As this is a kind of be-it-all headset, that is a large missed opportunity IMO. Say that you want to maximize your music listening, so you are connected with AUX to your PC, having the headset powered. Your friend then comes online and you want to play a game. Then you have to remove the cord from the headset, which makes it automatically power off. You then have to power it on, connect it to the PC over Bluetooth, then cycle through listening modes. Then you are still limited by Bluetooth compression. Far from ideal.

In my private opinion, the Status Flagship ANC doesn’t have any issues while wearing them with glasses. The clamping force is not too much and not feel pain around the temples area. But this might not be for some people. That depends on the shape and size of your head. So, if you are those who always wear glasses and have a quite big head size, over-ear headphones maybe not be your answer. Once reserved for expensive, premium headphones, a number of audio brands are now offering Active Noise Cancelling technology (ANC) in their entry-level units as well. What you get: cleaner, more direct sound without the interference of outside noise. ANC: I have never experienced ANC until I got these headphones so it's a new thing to me. Keep in mind that this headset cancels out just NOISE, not voices, just like ambient noise. I don't use it for noise cancelling itself, but as I mentioned before, it makes the sound quality even better than it already is when it's on. Noise cancelling: Aside from ANC, this headset does a good job muffling out sounds from the outside with just the padding. I also have never had an issue with bleeding sound. I tested it with my brother on full volume, and as long as the headphones were on my head, there wasn't a peep. These headphones use four microphones and a custom-developed processor to detect and eliminate unwanted sounds. They don’t offer any control over their level of noise-cancellation, but Wyze does allow you to tweak their EQ using the company’s free mobile app. Unsurprisingly, these headphones stand out because of their excellent smart features.

I've only tried to use the mic during meetings. It works, but it isn't really good (like most ones that is). I've only done so over Bluetooth. Not sure if it works over cable. The provided one is only three pin and I have no four pin male to male cable to try with. Most of the usability with these seem geared toward Bluetooth use, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is not wired in a way that makes mic work over wire. PREMIUM FIT & WEARABILITY: Holy fit. Plush vegan-leather earpads envelope your ears for a fully sealed, sumptuous over-ear fit. Holy smokes, they're incredible. Hitting that ANC button is wild. They're extremely comfortable with nice soft ear pads. And the sound quality is outstanding. I am seriously floored at the detail as well as the bass response. For reference, my best headphones for music are Status Audio CB-1. These are EQed to the Harman 2018 target with variables provided by AutoEQ using EqualizerAPO with PEACE. So although they are not the fancies headphones on the planet, they do provide a good frequency response for comparison.Next part we are talking about the control button and touch control, which is intuitive. Let’s go to the next part. Status Flagship ANC Headphones Review – How to control?

I do like that there isn't an obnoxious voice saying "ANC Mode on" that's a plus for me. It's more of a gentle voice of a guy. The color is beautiful and the controls are easy to use. BLUETOOTH + CABLED: These headphones can be used wirelessly with 5.0 Bluetooth capabilities, plus a trusty 3.5mm cabled input, because you never know. But things different are the level of noise cancellation, battery life, microphones, Bluetooth range, and frequency response. A 3.5mm cable is included in case you need to plug in, offering even more versatility. The headphones are available in three colors.

I've also tried USB. Connected to my PC it shows up in the sound settings in Windows (headphone and mic), but I didn't get it to output or record any audio. For option 3, the volume can be adjusted on the cans independently from the source. Now these headphone with the headband compressed to the maximum are still too tall. The cups sit about 5-10 mm too low when the headband is touching the top of my head. Combined with the relatively low clamping force, they move more than I'd like on my head and if I turn my head about 90 degrees to look over my shoulder the cup seal is broken on one side. ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLING: These headphones cancel out a staggering amount of ambient noise, up to 30 decibels. Do they cancel as much noise as our Flagship ANC Headphones? Well not quite. But they are less expensive, and still take a big bite out of those external annoyances. If you are fine with the compromises of Bluetooth audio, wanting something for your commute and think they have a nice set of features at an attractive price point, then they may be for you. aptX HD could potentially improve their usability, but I have no way of testing that

To clear things out I haven't used a lot of headphones in my lifo so this is from personal usage and sound preferences. The voice that speaks status changes also leaves something to be desired. Not that it really matters, but it feels like they recorded it with some random employee of their own to save money on the design. It leaves a less serious impression. Even though it's literally in the product name the ANC is something they should not be proud of on these headphones. To comparison I have used the Bose QC 25 and the difference is enormous. But still the price difference is something to take in consideration (150 for the Bose). Wyze is known for its inexpensive smart-home accessories, and it’s brought that same level of ingenuity to a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. Sound quality: The sound quality on these are amazing. Everything sounds crisp and clean. The bass is so good and gets even better when you turn on ANC. I have no complaints at all.Would I recommend these headphones to someone? Yes, I would. I wear headphones almost all the time, so when these headphones die, I switch to my earbuds while they charge. These are my first Bluetooth headphones, so I didn't know what to expect. Now I know, Bluetooth compression is clearly audible and further degrades SQ. These support aptX HD, which should supposedly alleviate this pain point somewhat, alas I have no source with the necessary hardware to test this. This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy. The best way to listen to them is powered on and connected to AUX, without ANC. Sorry to say, the features you pay for only degrade audio and you need to keep them powered, even if you are physically connected to your source. Compared to the CB-1s, these sound more muffled across the entire spectrum (distortion?), bass is worst. Unfortunately a definite downgrade to its cheaper sibling. You are paying for features here, not price.
