About this deal

As you all know, I love niacinamide in skincare, but because I use so many products specifically for lightening PIH and brightening skin, I can’t say whether or not Stratia Liquid Gold has helped with that. However, I do know that this is the product–in part because of that high percentage of niacinamide–that helped to repair my moisture barrier last winter and has helped keep my skin strong and healthy. TL;DR: If your moisture barrier is damaged, this stuff will seriously change your life. Support an up-and-coming indie shop and repair your moisture barrier, all without breaking your wallet. Ever since I got a routine, I have been looking for products that would improve my barrier function. I don't know if my barrier is really compromised and I'm not over-exfoliated. It's just that I didn't have a skincare routine until three months ago and so I've just decided that my barrier function can't be optimal. So, I decided to give Stratia LG a go. After all, it has the holy trinity of ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids which is proven to help restore the skin's barrier. Smell = Bergamot Oil + rosehip oil (just not a fan of the natural scent of these ingredients) BUT I will say it’s not as potent as the Huda Wishful oil (review HERE) Copper Palmitoyl Heptapeptide-14: stimulates production of collagen and elastin, which are responsible for skin’s firmness and elasticity

I know it's going to be impossible to find cheaper dupes of Stratia products. I truly do love the brand, but I need to really look at my skincare budget. Those who live in hot, humid weather, I do think should still go for more water-based products (as I think this’ll feel too oily / greasy).Dupe?: The inkey list hemp moisturiser is the closest thing in texture to this product (of course the ingredients are different) REVIEW HERE

Lipid Gold, formerly known as Liquid Gold, is a one-stop skin-saving powerhouse moisturizer that belongs in every skincare routine. It’s formulated with ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids, the three main ingredients that make up your skin’s moisture barrier, to keep your face healthy, clear, and resilient.Sh-Polypeptide-9: also known as Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor, it promotes the growth of capillaries to bring nutrients to the dermis But is Stratia Liquid Gold right for you? To help you answer this question, below we’ll give you all the details on the key ingredients in this formula, as well as the research that supports (or doesn’t support) their use in skin care.

Liquid Gold also has ceramides and cholesterol, two of the components of the lipid matrix that surrounds the cells in your stratum corneum (the top protective layer of your skin). It also has oils in it, which contain fatty acids bound up in triglycerides. There’s some research that found that putting lipid matrix components on your skin in the wrong ratio could make it recover from harsh treatment (like washing with cleanser) slower, but from what I can tell the right ratio is here. There’s also research that found that oils can act like fatty acids in this specific circumstance, so it’s likely to work as promised.

Ceramides are a family of waxy lipid molecules that are naturally produced by the skin and are vital in supporting the stratum corneum (the outer layer of skin).

Rose Hip Oil: High in oleic and linoleic acids, both of which are polyunsaturated fatty acids important for the integrity and regeneration of skin cell membranes. More moisture barrier magic going on here, my friends. Stratia C&C Serum >> The Ordinary's Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% (I was thinking this or perhaps the Vit C 23% Suspension) Notable Ingredients: Oh, man…all of them?! This ingredients list is STRAIGHT FIRE if we are talking moisture barrier repair. Let’s break that down, shall we? I’m going to limit my highlights because otherwise I will literally never finish this review. Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Mandelic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Panthenol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Matricaria Recutita (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Sodium Hydroxide, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate. Stratia Velvet Cleansing Milk Because my skin leans toward dry in the winter I use this right before a heavier cream, although I found that when my skin skews towards normal in the summer, this was a fine moisturizer before sunscreen.

Stratia Liquid Gold

If you’re looking for a watery, water-bursting moisturiser, then this isn’t it (I would recommend the Krave Oat so Simple HERE) But if you want a moisturiser that has some oil in it, some fatty ingredients BUT isn’t heavy and lets the skin breathe still, I think one may enjoy this. I’m not a fan of oily/fatty creams and the fact that I liked this and found it lightweight enough and used it everyday without feeling like my skin couldn’t breathe, says a lot. This really is everything I look for in a moisturiser. It has Ceramides, Cholesterol and Fatty Acids, Niacinamide, Panthenol, Glycerin, Squalane – all important ingredients to support a strong, resilient moisture barrier. All these amazing ingredients are combined into one lightweight but hydrating cream. Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Ethoxydiglycol, Niacinamide, Propylene Glycol, 2-Dimethylamino Ethanol (DMAE), Panthenol, Hydrolized Rice Protein, N-Acetyl Glucosamine, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Tamarindus Indica (Tamarind) Seed Extract, Hydrocotyl (Centella Asiatica) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA. Before we get into the details, here’s the TL;DR if you just want to know whether or not Stratia Liquid Gold is right for you.
