Designed for busy women who don’t always have a lot of time on their hands, Asheritah Ciuciu’s “ He is Enough” Bible study on the book of Colossians is unique in that it offers women two different options for their daily Bible study. Of course, the BEST Bible study for women that I like may not be a good fit for you. And the BEST Bible studies for you may not be a good fit for me… We’re all a bit different in what we already know, what we’re going through currently, what topics we’re interested in, and what we’re looking for.
It’s always great to read through different versions and types, because God may highlight something to you in one that you didn’t see in another.

And because I thought you might be interested in going deeper in your daily Bible study for women as well, I thought I’d share my top recommendations for you here. Many study Bibles also include comparison tables and charts that you can use to compare biblical characters, concepts, or themes within a certain Bible passage. These tables and charts are also great ways to deepen our understanding of the Bible. Geographical Maps There are so many study Bibles on the market, how do you know which one is right for you? What should you look for when purchasing a study bible? Definitely take a look at the features we just talked about and decide what is most important when it comes to choosing the perfect women’s study Bible for you. Regardless of your starting point, I’m a huge believer that the KJV is the be all, end all of Bibles. However, I’m not ignorant of the fact that it can be a challenge to read and a supporting study with another version is helpful. With that said, the KJV gets my vote for the Best study Bible for beginners. If you start learning from the original translation, you’ll be a step ahead. Just my 2 cents. I was given my first copy of this Bible in my teenage years and I used it so much. The Bible footnotes are easy to understand, and I also really like the books of the Bible summaries. This Bible also has great maps, a helpful Bible index, and concordance.
Concordance with citations to certain words found in the Bible (i.e. a list of scripture verses containing the word ‘peace’) Each day lists what chapters of the Bible should be read as well as a summary and explanation of some of the harder to understand verses found in that day’s reading. Included at the end of each day is a God Shot, which talks about what attribute of God can be found in that day’s reading. You are encouraged to find your own God Shot each day, as the more you get to know God, the more you will want to study His Word. Key Features: More than 500 reflective journaling prompts, subject index of journaling prompts, Words of Christ in red Biography Spotlight– a place where a certain person or group of people is highlighted from the Bible to give you more insight and depth into them Paraphrase translations try to simplify the biblical message so that it’s even easier to understand. I don’t recommend them for biblical study as the editors often infuse a lot of their personal interpretation and views into the text. Examples include The Message and The Living Bible.This study Bible is very comprehensive, with ample commentaries and footnotes, cross references, color maps, and helpful charts. I also like this study Bible because it includes great illustrations of architecture from biblical times. There is also space in the margins for note taking.
There are so many translations of the Bible that are available today! The best thing to do when choosing a study Bible is to choose a Bible translation that is as close to the original languages of the Bible as possible, and a translation that is easy for you to understand. Study bibles are not meant to replace the word of God, but rather to be an aid, to help us understand the word of God better. Before you study, always invite the holy spirit to open the eyes of your understanding and open your ears. Ultimately, the understanding of the scriptures comes from God. Understanding God’s Word is something we should strive for each and every day. A lot of times we ask God to speak to us, or answer our prayers. The letters of 1, 2, and 3 John may be short in length, but they are full of spiritual insights for those willing to study them! And that’s exactly what you’ll do with Kelly Minter’s “ What Love Is.” But lately, I’ve been challenged that I need to go deeper in my daily Bible study, so I started to really think about women’s Bible studies.
