About this deal

That wasn’t working for me, so I decided to make my own relaxation CD. Mine was filled with scriptures, the promises of God, and birth declarations in line with His heart. Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: I read this book in preparation for conception as we are soon getting ready to start trying for a baby.

Soon, I was in my ninth month of pregnancy. One day my water bag broke and I was rushed to the hospital. Since this was my first pregnancy, as is prevalent commonly, my gynaecologist was sure that it would take many long hours for me to deliver.

I relied on this book for my first pregnancy because I was looking for something to cling to going into the unknown. I ended up having a difficult induction and NOT pain-free labor and delivery. My expectations were shattered as I experienced something so different from the natural, pain-free birth I expected and wanted. Can God take away pain from childbearing? Yes, I believe He could if He so desired. But God is Sovereign, and His ways are Higher than our ways. God may choose to allow pain and suffering although we may not understand it. Suffering is biblical and Jesus experienced it as He went to the cross. And He did it with an attitude of submission toward the Father's will. I have since grown to realize that an attitude of submission, not expectation, would have been the most beneficial and true for what I experienced. Just like we do when we have questions in any area of our lives, we turned to the Bible for answers. God’s word doesn’t give us specific instructions on how we should give birth, but instead helps us understand the purpose of having children and encourages us to trust in the Lord through all of our pain, anxiety, and doubts.

I had my children in 2005 and 2008. I used the internet to research homebirth and unassisted childbirth. They were born August 28, 2005--the night Katrina hit landfall. Calleigh weighed 7 lbs 1oz and Cadence weighed 7 lbs even. They'll be 3 years old this Thursday, it is so awesome. Isn't that a wonderful miracle of God? Born healthy and a nice weight, and a wonderful pain free birth too! Next time I am going to pray for painfree afterpains, those were killer but thankfully they were over in a couple of days. After 3 days I was walking around, carrying them around and acting like nothing had ever happened! It was just so awesome, God is so good. this is a great book for conquering fear for pregnancy and during labor. i love many of the prayers and emphasis that we can call on God and His power in this life. i believe in the power of prayer and trusting in God.Praise Jesus, throughout my nine months of pregnancy, I didn’t have to go through any symptoms or ‘pregnancy effects’ that normally a pregnant woman goes through. Together my husband and I believed and trusted the goodness of God in the minutest of things and He saw us through beautifully at every step. I must mention here that it is great to have a godly spouse beside you in your biggest hour of need. My husband was my biggest support in everything. He would continually pray for me and the baby and encourage me through God’s Word. Baby out! God’s supernatural presence and glory shined through even during a long, painful labor. So much so that the nurses, doctors, midwife, and doula could feel something different in Yleana’s birthing room that they knew God was there!

Now that she is over a year and a half old, I can see that God never left my side but His presence wasn’t always in the form that I wanted… When I was at 9cm, He provided my husband’s hand for my comfort. He provided a doula to massage and calm me. And a midwife who was very experienced and confident. No matter how you choose to give birth, what’s most important is that you trust in God and allow him to guide you in your decisions. And traditional birth classes are good. But they don’t approach the topic of birth from God’s perspective and they don’t empower a mom to birth her baby in God’s joy and presence. They don’t tell her what the Bible says about birth and that childbirth is a crazy, extravagant love gift that God wants to BLESS her with! They don’t teach her how to partner with God in the process or how to prepare spiritually. Which is too bad because above all, giving birth is a SPIRITUAL event! Much more than a medical event. As a pregnant mama mom, you probably have a lot of questions about childbirth. From unmedicated birth to c-sections, women (nowadays) have many different options. But as a Christian, you may be wondering what does the Bible say about childbirth? It may be difficult for you to believe for anything better if your present or previous pregnancy or delivery has been tough. But you don’t have to work up some great faith all by yourself. Read God’s promises. Speak them out. Pray God’s word over yourself and Baby. Pregnancy Resources to Help You She is a lively, gorgeous little beauty now though! And we praise the Lord for her and the joy she brings to our lives!! when god’s supernatural labor looks different Within an hour, I was 9 cm and getting very uncomfortable. I couldn’t squat anymore, my legs were so tired. I tried getting on all fours in bed but my body was just exhausted from squatting. The midwife suggested I lay on my side on the bed and that was AWFUL!!!! All of my contractions were in my hips, so when I laid on my side the pressure on my hips was unbearable.

Here are some supernatural childbirth scriptures to hold onto and speak over yourself as you prepare to give birth: She makes it seem like homebirth is foolish and dangerous and gives an example of a baby dying “because of homebirth.”

This is JUST what I needed today. I am 37w5d pregnant with my second baby boy and literally am sitting here listening to my labor playlist… which is about 90% Bethel music 🙂 It’s the middle of the summer and I am D.O.N.E… but my prayer is that baby boy will come when he is supposed to. I’m just over here hoping he’s “supposed” to come early… lol.
