About this deal

Why We Like It: They come in various sizes so that you can organize your gear in different pouches.

Why We Like It: The origami-like organization is there when you need it and folds away when you don’t. All engines are Euro 6 compliant, thanks in part to AdBlue technology, and come equipped with Volkswagen’s BlueMotion systems to help reduce fuel consumption. According to official figures the 102PS van is the most efficient Caddy, returning an official 72.3mpg, while emissions are rated at just 99g/km. Why We Like It: You can see all your gear in front of you and access it on your desk while it’s still in the pouch. The Powershuttle has a full clamshell opening which provides easy access to everything inside and makes it very easy to see what’s going on throughout the pouch. We like the opening, but the single zip is somewhat restricting. We would have liked to see two zippers on the opening as it would enable you to zip up the pouch from any point. We generally find two zips to be more user-friendly across the board…it’s not a huge issue on this pouch, but we’ve gotten frustrated with it a few times. This might sound alarming – and it is a little disconcerting at first – but it’s far less fighty than other systems we’ve experienced, meaning that it mostly does seem more like a helping hand than an annoying distraction. The cabin has received a complete redesign and features higher quality materials across all four trim grades. There are also numerous storage areas throughout the cabin including an overhead shelf. On top of all that, it is now the only van in its segment to offer both driver and passenger front airbags along with side and curtain airbags. Real MPG average for a Volkswagen Caddy (2015 – 2021) Think we're joking? On one right-hand drive test Caddy we pressed the voice control button on the steering wheel, only to then be greeted with a message on the infotainment screen saying this feature could be activated via 'the Shop'. The important thing is that you remain fully confident when driving it loaded, and the Caddy Cargo gives you this confidence in abundance. Active steering assistance Why We Like It: The sleek Aer look in a slimmer design that still includes thoughtful organization.

It’s a clever engine, too, with cylinder deactivation tech on board. This means it can shut down two of its four cylinders under light load, such as when you’re cruising along at a constant speed, and this saves fuel. If you’re prepared to pay for it, the Caddy Cargo can also be equipped with Emergency Assist (which will help to bring the van safely to a stop if the driver is unable to for some reason) and Side Assist (which helps with lane changing, using a rear radar system). The exceptions are for the seven-speed DSG automatic transmission, which claims 54.3mpg, and the highest specification models, which are down just over 1mpg due to the changes in standard equipment (including the wheels). These systems also allow 'over-the-air' updates. Which means the Caddy can receive software updates without visiting a dealer on the one hand, but on the other also opens up the possibility of selling add-ons to the van that can be activated remotely as well.Volkswagen no longer uses the BlueMotion name, but if you’re shopping on the used market you may well come across is. This guide will set out what the technology is, how it works, and if a BlueMotion Volkswagen is the right car for you. The handles are ergonomically padded making them smooth to touch and push. They are adjustable to accommodate multiple pushing positions. Brakes

The amount you have to turn the steering wheel has been substantially reduced, for starters, while changes to the rear suspension are intended to make the Caddy Cargo feel as nimble with a full load as it is without it. Doesn’t quite pull this off, but it’s close. How clean are the diesel engines? As a member of the award-winning M-Series family, M-TECH utilises the world’s simplest compact folding system and revolutionary SlimFold design to offer an 11% smaller folded footprint - allowing it to fit into the smallest car boots for stress-free transportation. These are the standard equipment highlights; for details of safety kit see the Safety section. VW Caddy Cargo Commerce standard equipment highlights: All that said, the new Caddy is available with some particularly high-tech driving assistance systems, including Travel Assist for the first time on a VW van. It also uses a petrol particulate filter (PPF) to take some of the nastier emissions out of the exhaust gases. For those who’ve had issues with diesel particulate filters in the past, this might sound worrying, but there seem to have been fewer problems with PPFs – perhaps because petrol exhaust has less particulate matter in the first place. What’s it like to drive?Golfers will love it because of its ease to use on all terrains and low-maintenance wheels. It is superior to other models in terms of sturdiness, features, and functionality. The fixed service intervals we've been given seem a little short, which could put some buyers off - though if you opt for the variable schedule, this may improve. Why We Like It: Well-padded to protect fragile gear, especially if you’re a content creator or carry a light for Zoom calls. IDEAL FOR: Golfers looking for a luxury trolley offering striking design and unrivalled performance Besides the original Polo BlueMotion, there were a number of a stand-alone BlueMotion models, but we’ll return to those later.

We’ve been testing in the Bellroy Tech Kit for about two weeks—stashing all of our most-used tech gear—and we’re ready to tell you what we think. The standard model is a touch longer than it was before, the Maxi a touch shorter – which has exactly the kind of impact you’d expect on the load space. However, both feature lower loading-floors and can fit taller items inside, despite the vans having lower rooflines on the outside. Starting on the left side, there are four elasticated loops to help keep your cables tidy. We’ve been using these for USB cables, but they can be used for any wires or miscellaneous objects really, as long as they fit.

Most popular engine choice is the 102hp diesel. We feel like this makes a lot of sense - it's powerful enough to deliver good performance and real-world fuel economy, and brings a substantial cash saving over the more powerful 122hp motor. A 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol is also available in the UK with 114hp / 220Nm. This brings even better engine refinement, has easily enough muscle for moderate payloads and will be the most fun to drive if you're enthusiatic behind the wheel. New front and rear suspension designs play their part here. The rear in particular, as it’s moved from old-fashioned leaf springs to car-like coil springs among other changes, and now rides lumpy surfaces with far greater sophistication, regardless of whether the rear is loaded or not. Volkswagen added petrol-powered to the Caddy line-up in 2015 with buyers getting the option of the three-cylinder 1.0 TSI with 102PS, alongside the 84PS 1.2 and 125PS 1.4-litre engines.
