About this deal

Often, problems with Thrustmaster pedals don’t arise from the pedals themselves, but the pedal assembly or poor calibration. Therefore, you shouldn’t tear your pedals apart until you pinpoint the root of the problem. By tearing your pedal assembly in haste, you may end up misdiagnosing the problem, and worse still, damage the brittle plastic and solder joints that hold the potentiometers in place.

The footrest features an almost industrial style metal grip plate. And quite honestly, we really dig it. It looks hefty and it isn’t as slippery as you may think from first impressions. However, they wear out, which can result in funny sounds or a shudder when braking suddenly. Performing extreme maneuvers such as navigating corners at high speeds can be difficult if your brake pedal is faulty.

TS-XW Racer Sparco P310 Competition Mod

With the conical mod installed, the brake pedal almost becomes like a true progressive brake. It feels similar to a loadcell brake, although it’s not quite there in terms of braking quality. It sits just under a loadcell brake, such as that in the Fanatec CSL Elite LC pedals. Malfunctioning brake pedals are also a major issue of concern to sim racers. Just like is the case with a real car, your virtual car’s brakes are its most important system. The pedals themselves offer a huge amount of customization. This is possibly our favorite part of the pedals. You can adjust the spacing between each pedal by mounting the pedal plate in one of three locations. As mentioned, the design is almost identical to the T500RS pedals. That isn’t a bad thing. Unlike some cheaper pedals, the T3PA-Pros feature a full metal construction. This really elevates the perceived quality of this pedal set. Thrustmaster have been making the right steps towards the ultimate pedal set for a while. The base pedals you get with some Thrustmaster wheels come with only two pedals and are just not fit for sim racing.

They allow for floor mounted or inverted pedal mounting positions. This in turn, allows you to set up your pedals to mimic a range of driving setups. You can floor mount them for formula style driving. Or invert them for GT and road cars. Load Cell force sensor technology: up to 220 lb / 100 kg of pressure, for the perfect amount of braking power. The main weakness with Thrustmaster pedals is that they wear out too fast. This is particularly the case for those who race daily for hours at a time. The potentiometers found in Thrustmaster pedals have a lifespan of one year or thereabout. Their lifespan is shortened by aggressive driving. Towards the end of their shelf life, the potentiometers may become spikey and unreliable when you push your car to full throttle. Dirty Potentiometers Thrustmaster is renowned for its heavy-duty pedals, which are designed to take a beating. Although they are built to withstand aggressive driving, this can cause them to malfunction. A common problem among aggressive sim racers is the breaking of the link that connects Thrustmaster’s pedal assembly to the brake sensor. Independently-adjustable pedals (height, spacing and inclination) for optimized gaming comfort according to the user’s preferences. So Thrustmaster have used this great product design, and fixed the one downside that the T500RS had. The brake pedal. Then there is the new conical brake mod, which is from the standard T3PA pedal set. The conical brake mod is a piece of high-density rubber, shaped like a cone.
