First up a Wolverine and Spider-Man body switch that would be hilarious if it weren't presented right on the heels of the tragic Carnage. Seeing the Across the spider-verse movie got me feeling that I want to work myself up and be reintroduced to Miles Morales again. And with all stories we have to start at the beginning... Bendis’s other projects include the Harvey, Eisner, and Eagle Award-nominated Powers (with Michael Avon Oeming) originally from Image Comics, now published by Marvel's new creator-owned imprint Icon Comics, and the Hollywood tell-all Fortune and Glory from Oni Press, both of which received an "A" from Entertainment Weekly. The artwork is terrible (so bad it's on here twice) to the point that they draw Peter Parker posing like a girl in his pants wtf!

Three team-ups that would really have fit better in Ultimate Team-Up (and there's a reason that series isn't making it into the omnibuses!). This influenced every single film that has come out since the original Sam Raimi trilogy (and if memory serves Raimi and Tobey even make a cameo in later issues as they were filming at the time). I will continue to avoid the ultimate marvel universe like the plague. The only thing worse than this is Ultimate X-Men and if you like that there's something wrong with you.So this was terrible. I was expecting something really different to this. I'm pretty sure I absolutely detest the ultimate universe, this confirms it. The old Stan lee stories were ten times better than this. Third a really horrible Dr. Strange team-up that's boring before we even get to the never-ending nightmare sequence. Its only redeeming quality: it's the only arc to treat the Carnage arc like it just happened.
This balance is also achieved greatly in the Peter personal life and swinging action of Spider-Man, and man dose Peter get put through the hurt. Aunt May has some nice characterisation and the school life with MJ & Gwen Stacy is also pushed forward, with the question of why put the suit on in the first place. I keep putting the costume on, don’t I? I keep putting my life in danger to help other people, and I swear to God I really have no idea why, I really don’t.” This era of Spider-Man is just prime to me, Bendis took years of history and merged it all together to make a modern (of that time) take, use all the good stuff leave out all the bloated and just run with it.Brian is currently helming a renaissance for Marvel’s AVENGERS franchise by writing both New Avengers and Mighty Avengers along with the successful ‘event’ projects House Of M, Secret War, and this summer’s Secret Invasion.
