also ensure you install the Scan75 according to the Driver Intallation Instructions and the Program Power Requirements: 2 x AA Alkaline Batteries (3VDC) or 2 x AA Rechargeable Ni-MH Batteries (2.4V DC) or Connect to PC with USB cable (5.0V DC 500mA), As for the display, it works best when you are trying to read it straight on. From an angle, it is just a blur. The screen lights up when you press and hold the lower left button.
