Aldi's ripple egg looked very fancy. Made from Moser Roth Belgian Milk Chocolate and Caramelised Biscuit, it tasted absolutely delicious. The shell was gorgeous to look at, and even better to taste. It was certainly something a bit different, I thought. My first impression when I tried to eat it was how messy it was.

I headed down to Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Marks and Spencer and Asda to see what they had to offer and whether they could compete with the famous chocolate brands this Easter. It's crunchy, crispy, silky, creamy and absolutely delicious. It may not come with any extra bags of chocolate, but the egg is huge and the salt and sweet combination is a sure-fire winner. Asda also sells Raspberry and Marshmallow White Chocolate, and Peppermint and Cocoa Nib Dark Chocolate flavours as well. Yum.
