Dim/discolored video can be caused by the video cable, so try reseating the cable and swapping with a known good part. Not in the last place, there is 99% of sRGB coverage, which will provide a punchy image. Pair this with decently accurate colors in “Standard” mode (Average dE<2.0) and you get a reasonable offering for design work.
