What I’m trying to say is that “Food is my Kryptonite”. So I’ll love my body just the way it is, keep hiding in Anna’s luggage to get around, and then be able to share details of my most delicious & most outrageous meals here with you. Our prior Voodoo Doughnut experience involved beer instead. Rogue Ales produces three different Voodoo Doughnut beers and we had tried the “Chocolate, Peanut Butter & Banana Ale” in the past. Let’s just say that Voodoo doughnut could come across as fairly crude, if they weren’t too careful. Mark’s prior experience also included saving a stranger’s box of doughnuts on an airplane flight. The story goes that as he was deplaning the aircraft, a fellow passenger pulled out their bag from the overhead bin & dislodged the magical pink doughnut box from its prior resting place. Using his ninja-esque reflexes, Mark reached out & saved the box from crashing to its doom just 6 inches from the airplane’s floor. The airplane burst into cheers at his bravery. However, even with his heroic tactics, he was not rewarded with his first taste of these delectable treasures.

The bright colours are a lovely vibrant addition to your home or garden and will fit in perfectly with your spring and summer flowers! Especially in winter, this is sure to brighten any glum British weather we get! They are beautifully painted with great attention to detail and are mainly hollow. They come separately or you can buy them together… You can’t split them up surely?

On top of the delicious sandwich, Anna made it a combo which just added to the flavor explosion. The combo paired the sandwich with KoJA’s signature Kamikaze Fries. The waffle fries were crispy enough to hold their shape under the weight of all the Korean BBQ Beef, kimchi, green onions & spicy red sauce toppings! We had so much to eat that all of us ended up passing outwhile watching the Seahawks massacre the 49ers in football. Overall, a great Thanksgiving! I do miss Anna’s Mom’s Filipino dishes, though. So, I’ll just have to load up for the upcoming Christmas holidays. In the end we opted for a our choice of a dozen doughnuts, including the “Dirty snowballs doughnut”, the “Triple chocolate pentration doughnut” and the “Voodoo Doll doughnut” filled with rasberry jelly & stabbed with a pretzel stake. But in the meantime, among adults the saying “dilly, dilly, come and be [or “to be”] killed” became a catch-phrase symbolizing a sweet enticement used to lure an unsuspecting victim. It was used this way in early 19th-century political journalism—first in Britain, then in the US and Australia. Overall, SnowGlobe was a great music festival, but I’m not sure we’d do it again. Being its fourth year, you’d think more of the kinks were lined out. Unfortunately, the entrance line was at a standstill on two of the three days. Also, you’d think there would be a more organized with their shuttle lines instead of mass mobs standing in the streets praying that a shuttle bus would stop. Lastly, due to high winds, one of the After Parties on the Tahoe Dixie boat was relocated at the last minute due to 10-foot lake waves.

All-in-all, it was a great trip! Definitely glad I was able to tag along on Anna & Mark’s adventure. One day I’ll make the trek all the way down along the Hwy-1 California coastline. Finally, we were in! A giant doughnut piece of artwork hung from the ceiling along with some fancy chandeliers. I was in for a treat as I looked onward towards the doughnuts as they turned in a rotating display. Some of these doughnuts were bigger than me! On their most recent trip to Lake Tahoe, their travel destination was the SnowGlobe Music Festival with the slopes as a bit of a side thought. So, I tagged along for our first time at this particular music festival. I love snow & I love music, so it just made sense to put them together. Unfortunately, I forgot just how long of a drive it was to get to Tahoe. But, I perched on the dashboard for a first-row view as the snow-capped Sierras came around the bend. I’ve tried all the fad diets to lose some weight around my yellow belly and orange beak. “No carb” diets. “No sugar” diets. “No meat” diets. “No taste” diets. I can’t say I’ve jumped on the “No gluten” diet because most people partaking in that particular one can’t even tell me what a gluten is. Anyway, the one thing I can summarize about all the diets I have tried, though, is they all end up making me feel like I’m on the “I’m always hungry” diet. Thankfully it stayed relatively dry as we queued up in the line. Though the line took a while, we had quite an array of the characters wandering past us, which kept us entertained.
