We started May 26 and by the end 19 races will have been completed covering all the main Worlds and never repeating a course - we even managed to design racing using the Portals too! In a follow-up article, I will be adding a thorough exploration of one particular source of the game variation: the modular board of Flamme Rouge….

To calculate this I used something called: the binomial distribution, a computation available in your favorite spreadsheet program. Note: Before proceeding with this specific explanation on statistical significance, I would like to note that I’m not an expert on statistics. It just appeared to make sense to talk about this a bit, given the coin toss discussion earlier in this post. So takes the following with a grain of salt, and please, let me know if you happen to be an expert with a better insights. OPEN FIREBOX GAS ➔OPEN FIREBOX GAS - FLAT ➔OPEN FIREBOX GAS - LEFT ➔OPEN FIREBOX GAS - RIGHT ➔OPEN FIREBOX GAS - THREE SIDED In my opinion, the biggest source of unpredictability in this game come from this simultaneous selection of cards by the players. Decisions made by others are what really affect how the race unfold, and it is not a neutral element of unpredictability.OPEN FIREBOX GAS - FLAT ➔OPEN FIREBOX GAS - LEFT ➔OPEN FIREBOX GAS - RIGHT ➔OPEN FIREBOX GAS - THREE SIDED And because it’s fun to take light questions seriously, I’ll do my best to come up with some real numbers for how many unique game board configurations of Flamme Rouge are possible. TOP TIP: You will notice that the two riders in your team have different movement cards. The sprinter has lots of long and short distance cards, the rouleur as lots of medium distance cards. Use this to your advantage when you can.

A good example of a problem of constant complexity would be determining the total weight of a group of marbles. Since you can weight all the marbles at once, the complexity is independent of the number of marbles. Weighting 1 or 100 of them consist in the same number of operations. As I explained earlier with coin tossing example, repetition is what allows player skills to shine. The probability of winning is P(win)The probability of losing P(losing) (which is here: 1 – P(win) )The number of toss: NThe exact number of win: K Since 2015 I have kept a watchful eye on what's happening and whether our paths could cross again, linking up with CFC now makes perfect sense so I'm really pleased we canThere is nothing unique about Flamme Rouge replayability, but since this post kind of grew out of the modular board game post I was working on, it is perfect to introduce the subject! Because you have to select the card for one cyclist BEFORE seeing the 4 possible cards to play for your second cyclist. You are limited in how effectively you can coordinate between your cyclists.
