The other key differences between the Samsung Galaxy S10 and the S10 Plus are the battery, which is smaller at 3,400mAh vs 4,100mAh, and the selfie camera which is a single unit to the S10 Plus’ dual front shooter. The S10 also isn’t available with 1TB of internal storage, but that’s a crazy expensive phone anyway. Shadowgun Legends is more demanding, so the median frame rate is slightly lower, but with the resolution and detail levels cranked all the way up, the S10 Plus still delivered a median frame rate of 33fps. If you do find yourself using your phone to watch films, Netflix, Youtube and more, and you find yourself wishing for better and brighter screen quality then you will also want to consider the Samsung Galaxy S10. The 6.1 inch infinity screen size makes viewing brilliant. This is teamed with the loudspeaker which has wide sound quality for easier and clear viewing.

And the fact that the bottom bezel is larger than the top one catches our eye – it may be more distracting than the punch-hole. Phew. So, how about image quality then? Well, it’s superb, especially for colour rendition. This is one of those smartphone cameras that seems to be able to capture colours as you see them – they’re not under or over-saturated, and there seems to be a good balance between noise suppression and detail missing from its main rival on the camera front, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

Design

Whilst Samsung technology is fantastic - the main downfall of enjoying it is the price - especially when there are so many constant new releases, and most of us don’t want to be paying high amounts every time we see technology that we want. If you decide on switching to samsung refurbished phones rather than brand new, you will see a massive price difference, as refurbished samsung phones are a lot more budget friendly. Since there are so many varying phone conditions for the same model, you can also filter the product you want based on price, and get the condition and price that works for you, which makes it a lot more flexible.

Is a 'punch-hole' camera more or less distracting than a notch? From our time with the Samsung S10 so far, we'd say less. It sits comfortably to the right in the notification bar, providing plenty of space for the time, battery and connectivity icons, as well as any notifications you may have. Bezel does outline the top and bottom of this display, even if we said it wasn’t big. Samsung’s top speaker still reigns, and there’s a thin but noticeable chin across the bottom; it’s less bezel rather than bezel-less.And that’s before you get to the video capabilities, which is another area where the S10 Plus excels. It’s able not only to shoot stabilised footage in 4K resolution at 60fps but also capture HDR10+ clips for video with improved dynamic range and ultra slow-motion footage, as well.

Samsung laid out two scenarios in which Wireless PowerShare would be helpful: charging a friend’s phone, or charging your Galaxy Buds at night, effectively making your plugged-in S10 a mobile Qi charger pad. Samsung noted, though, that PowerShare won’t work when the phone is below 30%.A 3400mAh battery with amazing lasting power and fast and wireless charging, so you have practical charging and spend less time waiting around for your phone to charge. There’s little to dislike regarding the new display – if the Infinity-O doesn’t distract day-to-day, and as mentioned we’ll update this review when we have more hands-on time with the S10.
