About this deal

It lasted for six hours until it was a skin-scent and about 10 hours before it was quite difficult to detect on my skin. The sillage and projection were moderate with the sillage dropping faster than the projection within the two hours of wear. Personal Thoughts I hated it's opening.maybe because it was too heavy and in your face dirty, wet patchouli or because I hate labdanum and I could smell lots of it.I was hesitant to wash it off or not.thanks god I gave it enough time to settle down and completely change my mind

you can smell the damp earth and rough geranium leaves, no cute flowers, sorry, you go inside the cave. This is still very pleasant, but no longer overwhelming for me. But there is still enough from the beginning to enjoy the fragrance for the next few hours. And there are many of them... Psychédélique, Jovoy’s magnificent ambered patchouli, largely stays in the shadows, meditating on the synergies between a cocoa-like amber and an inky-dark patchouli, although rose and geranium offer a touch of freshness to its earthy sexiness.

Where to Buy

INCIDENT DIPLOMATIQUE is no exception. This is fabulous. Grown up. Masculine. Green. Earthy. Sophisticated. I normally cannot stand Vetiver but love Patchouli but them two together here in whatever ratio and extraction are just perfect. Smooth blend without any harsh edges like vetiver can be normally. Nothing dank here. If you happen to be a patchouli lover I think you will love this fragrance! This fragrance to me comes off as a gourmandish patchouli with lots of amber, vanilla and some lactonic and herbaceous touches. You might get some chocolate notes because patchouli of high quality tends to be quite choclatey/minty. I don’t think this fragrance is “psychedelic” as the name implies but it’s really quite beautiful, well blended and classy smelling. Maybe a bit mature for people under 30 though. Performance is pretty good on my skin. 8-10 hrs total longevity maybe 2ft projection for 3hrs and good silage for the first 5-6hours. I could see this being worn all year around and for all occasions if you’re light on the trigger. Signature scent worthy IMO.

When the amber joins in is when Psychédélique has its breakthrough moment. Resinous and salty-sweet, it binds the fragrance with an at once familiar caressing warmth. There it stays to the drydown, part of a well-balanced mix of incumbent notes that maintain their gleam. longevity: 10 (I sampled it for the first time with only 1 spray, after 12 hours and a shower, I still could smell it on my hand) As already mentioned, this is a powerhouse frag, a sillage monster and you really need to apply sparingly otherwise it will kill the people sitting next to you. This must the be the most tenacious fragrance i own. It lasts forever -days- on skin even showered one, and weeks on scarves or other clothes. Psychédelique is a modern interpretation of patchouli. Here I feel patchouli not as earthy, raw or musty, but soft and skillfully embedded in citrus, roses and vanilla. Boho glam is what the brand says, and it's quite true. Nicole Richie or Kate Moss, not Janis Joplin or Joan Baez. Before this scented monster of patchouli-dripping earthy heaviness and smoky-golden amber becomes too powerful, rich gifts of musk and vanilla sink over it as a warming finish. I do not find the Lavender to be that defined and Marlow's search for contrast with Lavender is a great idea. Getting it right on Lavender has to be one of the all-time, most ambitious pursuits of fragrance formulation. (whew! wordy as hell) Similarly, in Jovoy's "Psychédelique", a sluggish golden-brown patchouli current rolls through the opening of the fragrance with a heavy earth bearing.

Among the perfumes that I tested from Jovoy Paris brand , this perfume was more in line with my taste because it had a better smell and its distribution and durability, although it is relatively strong , so that this perfume can be used daily with a few puffs . each time it is used , it has a sharp and bitter herbal scent - woody and slightly spicy , the most common scent in this perfume is aromatic and slightly spicy scents , most of which are made from a combination of vetiver - a little citrus , patchouli and nutmeg . The floor is damp and heavy, the mists float like grey cotton clouds over it and cover beechnuts and acorns, whose bitter, strong scent can spread with pleasure under this protective blanket.Wow Rating: 8/10. The strong patchouli will create a strong and pleasant first impression to those that appreciate this tone.

I disagree because Psychadelique 1. does not remind me of any pastry, sweets, environment to associate with those. 2. it is totally wearable for day to day whereas gourmand class perfumes tend to be more for novelty wear (think: Dolce Passione, Sorriso, Italica). The sweetness of the Amber (resins, styrax, waxes), and vanilla probably reminds people of gourmands. Compared to Jovoy's L'art de la Guerre rhubarb is much less prominent in the latter, I have an impression that L'art is about something else: the imortelle, the leather, which are more for conesseur noses, while 21 Conduit St. is all about rhubarb and rhubarb is like a theme for this perfume, it stays much longer than just to bring a nice, round opening, like it does in L'art. Don't get me wrong, LADLG is a great perfume, but if your starting your journey with high perfumery and still training your nose you'll find 21CSt. much more pleasing. At that time I didn't know what the consequences of buying this perfume would be for me. The relapse into old scent habits was thus initiated. Ages: 40 and above. The combination of patchouli and woods creates that green, woody, slightly cedar old school vibe commonly found in classic fragrances targeting mature wearers. Jovoy Paris is a perfume house founded by Blanche Arvoy in 1923. Four perfumes with animal-shaped bottles were launched for the brand of Jovoy. Blanche started a new house, the house of Corday a year later, which she named after Charlotte Codray, a participant in the French revolution. It ended its production in the beginning of the 1960es.
