About this deal

Then they destroyed my signature scent with a "NEW" edition of Miss Dior 2017. WTH. I was as sad as excited to try it, meanwhile I had already Poison Girl EDP to my collection and Franchois Demachy was like top in my eyes. First spray was like, oh no, I lost my money on a floral blah, not only my signature. The fragrance itself is nice. I get an apricot-rose opening with a good bit of vanilla/tonka/sandalwood in the drydown. It's not outstanding in any way, just a nice fragrance that smells...nice. I going through all the free samples I've gotten from Facebook the past few years that I've ignored or forgotten about.

I have worn this on skin several times and it always lasts at least six hours with good projection. I do not overspray this, either...one spray on each wrist is enough.

My Account

I like it a lot and it makes me feel happy and beautiful and that's why I wear my fragrances, I personally don't really care if it's "generic" or reformulated 1000 times, I just want wear fragrances that make me feel good and calm and feel myself while wearing them. I think the price-performance-ratio is to decide individually. For me, yes it's worth it. For others it may not. And as I said, you really don't need much. It stays on for a long period of time, so you don't need 10-15 sprays throughout the day, 2 is enough for a whole day. I have heard LOTS of people say that this fragrance doesn't last and has poor performance. I beg to differ. About 7 pm I sprayed this on a tester strip and left it sitting on the dresser in my bedroom. I went to sleep around 10:00 and woke up some time after midnight because the scent was so strong that it had permeated the entire room and woken me up. I had to get up and go throw the test strip in the trash can in another room.

Their prices are rediculous. Yes, the first batch number bottles smell really good and then the watery tone down beggins till a new Miss Dior will come. Does anybody from you remember that Miss Dior 2012-14 (released on 2012 till October 2017) used to have ABSOLUTE de parfum and not ESSENCE from it's notes. I have a bottle of my signature that still smells 95% similar to the first day and that's because absolutes are more oily, expensive and really intense. Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is decorated with a new haute couture bow made of poignard fabric with a unique assortment of flowers. Under the bottle, the emblematic motif of Miss Dior is engraved in the glass. You don't want me to mention how many other editions of Miss Dior were discontinued, nor that already this 2017's EDP faced such a hate, they decided to continue with the EDT that supposed to have a touch from lilly of the valley. Crying again from laughing as it's just a toned down version of the EDP with a whisper of orange and a greener note that last for 10 seconds before it turns to EDP or at least 97% vibes of it. The creation is signed by Dior in-house perfumer François Demachy. He said that the rose in this version is a little more spicy, and that he added fruity aromas of apricot and peach to it. I'm having to work too hard to convince myself I like it. I don't hate it, but it's proved a useful tool to add to the evidence that I'm not into woody/tonka bases. If you want to stand out from the crowd and assert your dominance over the fragrance "normies," don't get this. But if you want to blend in and smell a bit better than most people wearing similar scents, this is pretty nice. It might feel « generic » or « mainstream » to some. I don’t really know what this means or why it’s such a bad thing. My kids loved this one, as well. I wanted a signature they could recognize me by, and this was their favorite of the ones I was considering. On my skin, the musk/sandalwood/vanilla base notes do come out nicely, making it feel more mature & elegant. It's a warm, comforting, sweet, musky delicate floral mixed with powdery vanilla and a touch of fruit. Ultra feminine. Of all the perfumes I've tested, this one feels like it suits me so well. So it is my signature scent now! It's sweeter than I expected. It has a candied smell at first and that remains in a scent bubble around you. It kinda reminded me of the sample of Coach Wild Rose at first, the sweet airy scent that surrounds you with that one. Except that one doesn't really have any rose despite it's name. I really think that the people who claim poor performance are just anosmic after smelling it for a short period of time, similar to how some people cannot perceive the musk note in some Narciso Rodriguez fragrances.

They made Miss Dior Cherie, for me not a big loss since it's not a bad perfume at all, but not mature enough, to my signature scent just-Miss Dior. The dry down almost smells like when you've had oud satin mood on the day before and you can still smell the sweet rose and vanilla. The more it dries the more floral it becomes but still staying sweet. As I said, it's nothing particularly groundbreaking but I can't stop sniffing it. It has got that same thing that I've noticed with Delina though, I don't know if it's rose and peony together, or the musk, or what, but it smells a tiny bit like sweat but it doesn't put me off somehow. Now I've just got a whiff of what I thought was a bit cherryish but must be the apricot. It changes a lot from the first spray. Anyway, I'm pumped that this doesn't have any patchouli in it. I love rose and iris, so hopefully this will be a winner for me. Honestly can't wait to smell it. Also, even though this is Miss Dior, this is a brand new scent. Disliking it because you're comparing it to its old composition, isn't really giving it a fair chance. I feel like I've heard them say before that they change miss Dior often to keep it fresh and modern and with the times. With that being said this isn't the first reformulation, and it certainly won't be the last. Be honest, be a fire, be true and unstoppable! I will say my opinion even though I am 99% sure it will go down. Dior's perfumerie and mostly Franchois Demachy must have some kind of a mental disease (no offence). It's not normal after making for so many years masterpieces, suddenly to end up with floral blah-s. I got it a month ago as a gift and was very carful using it, considering the price. You really don't need much. It smells so good and holds on for so long. Especially when you get it in your hair. I started spraying a little bit of this perfume into my hair (I don't spray it directly into my hair, I just keep my hair in front when I spray it. This way it still gets into my hair and I don't have to spray more than needed.) and it literally doesn't get out unless I wash it. I'm really stunned by this piece of perfection.

It has a cleanliness to it, but not a citrusy/fresh one. More like a clean cashmere sweater washed with one luxurious laundry detergent. It is long lasting on me, I can smell it clearly on my skin and on my clothing even after a long day. The sillage is moderate which is perfect for daily wear. Dior is reformulating their perfumes too much so that the perfumes should have new names. Dior should change their name to 'Flankerville' the house of cheap reformulations. They have killed their iconic high quality fragrances. But the opening notes are bright and cheerful, a peony/rose freshness, some fruitiness that I can't properly identify as either apricot or peach, but with a touch of tart sourness to it. Like a sour plum, although that's not a note here. There's a slight powderiness too that perhaps is the iris, although again, I can't distinguish iris exactly.I've decided to make an effort to use up and review my perfume samples, starting with 2021 Miss Dior. I'll say this; this isn't a linear scent. Good buy Poison Girl EDP, no explanation, no excuse, no reformulation. But are you crazy? Enjoy some silly editions that might smell 90% similar to the original but they become in less than 2 hours a skin scent. You guessed correctly, Poison Girl EDT & Unexpected EDT (another fail that it's not only weak but it's also bubble-gummy).
