About this deal

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, Year 4, Chapter 6 ( Explore the Forbidden Forest) - Care of Magical Creatures Lesson "Niffler" Nifflers had a pouch on their bellies which held far more than at first seemed possible, like the effects of an Undetectable Extension Charm on a container. [5] Eddie Redmayne, the actor who portrays Newton Scamander in the Fantastic Beasts films, jokingly commented that he had developed a "love-hate" relationship with the fictional creature. The terrifying Manticore is an enormous crustacean-like beast that resembles a cross between a giant lobster and a crab, with a hard, fuzzy shell and three eyes. It has multiple appendages: two with claws, others topped with hooks, and several more that act as its legs. But the claws on this humongous carnivorous creature can crush a man, while its powerful jaws, which look like a third claw, can strip the flesh from his bones and devour it in mere seconds. The Manticore feeds the remains to its hundreds of hungry offspring. However, he later developed a gentler and more respectful personality, most notable when he stole Grindelwald's vial of blood for Newt, and when he was released in a Paris square and did not run off or steal from anyone other than sneaking a couple golden items from a shop front while Newt was talking with Jacob. [9] Relationships [ ] Newton Scamander [ ]

That night, terrors spared Tina. She didn't have a lot of sleeping hours left, due to the wedding party, and her late reading, but she slept well. She slept well because a tiny little Niffler had opened her crate, and came nesting to her chest when she heard the Auror grumble durin g her sleep. Alright.” Tina called as Newt heard a small cry from the room while shutting the door behind him. Newt smiled down at the niffler in his arms who looked over his shoulder at the door, sensing something was wrong with Ellie. Jacob's sibling kept one in the Magical Creatures Reserve, [10] and trained it with the help of Rubeus Hagrid. [11] Tina had to sleep, at least for a few hours. After all she had heard at the wedding party, mostly about what had happened in Berlin and in Bhutan (and in China before), she doubted her terrors would let her sleep, but she had to try anyway.Tina Goldstein missed Newt. She missed him deeply. She couldn't believe she had skipped her chance in Paris. He was there, and she had just managed to yell at him. She tried to convince herself she had her reasons. That was true in a way. But she had lost her only chance in one year to spend time with him, for real. And now, she was alone. She had lost Queenie, and Newt was on the other side of the Ocean. Jacob didn't want to talk to her anymore (not they had talked a lot since the events in the subway), and Lally was more than busy at Ilvermorny. Are you OK little one ? Did I hurt you ? You're not supposed to be there, you know ? I'd bet you're Delia, aren't you ?”

There was an other human with them very often. Actually, she was there all the time. Excepted she wasn't really there, she was just pinned on the lid of the case. But Delia knew she kept an eye on them, she always followed them with her pictured gaze. Delia loved this human much. This human had something that attracted her a lot. Mommy seemed to like the wizard girl too. He was staring at her picture every time he could. Delia understood, she did the same. Sometimes, she was more attracted by the woman in the picture than by some shiny things. One day, the picture of the woman changed on the lid. Delia was happy, because she could see her better. She could stare at her even from the burrow. And the woman was following them when they were messing up, sometimes with a false severe look on her face (a bit like Mommy's).

Could that be Credence’s phoenix?

Nifflers would have made great pets if it weren’t for them wreaking havoc in search of shiny objects in every place they were kept. However, besides this, Nifflers were indeed great pets and were known to be very gentle creatures and were very friendly and kind to their masters. However, there were instances where Nifflers could get pretty vicious, as was the case when a Niffler tried to get the rings off of Dolores Umbridge’s fingers. Delia was still unnoticed. She was happy ! She had the opportunity to explore the real world, not just the London's flat, for the first time in her life ! Nifflers were gentle by nature and could even be affectionate towards their owners. [1] However, they could destroy belongings looking for sparkly objects, and for that reason it was inadvisable to keep them as a house pet. [1] It was also implied that they could turn vicious if provoked, as the second Niffler released into Dolores Umbridge's office apparently tried to take a chunk out of her leg. [6] History [ ] Teddy was born sometime before December 1926 and was rescued by Newt Scamander, and consequently placed inside of his magically-expanded suitcase full of magical beasts. [3] In New York [ ] There are many fantastic beasts in the wizarding world, but our favorite beast has to be the Niffler. When Teddy first appeared in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, we immediately fell in love with him. And we couldn’t help but squee when we saw the baby Nifflers for the first time. With three Fantastic Beasts films out now, there are many amazing Niffler moments. Here are just some of our favorites.

The Wyvern is a two-legged beast, which can assume different shapes depending on function. It is akin to a dragon but with smooth skin rather than scales. At first glance, it looks something like a Dodo, but with a long, feathered tail and short, stubby wings that seem incapable of flight. However, defying expectations—and gravity—the Wyvern can fly, initiating its takeoff by inflating like a blowfish and then floating up like a hot air balloon, with its small wings beating similar to a hummingbird’s. Its tail lengthens exponentially and possesses the tensile strength to carry objects many times the Wyvern’s weight, including a person. Once airborne, the Wyvern transforms again: deflating its body as its wingspan grows to resemble those of a pterodactyl…and off it flies. Teddy was incredibly intelligent, and mischievous as well. He was able to recognise when he disobeyed Newt, yet continued to do it anyway. He also displayed recognition of the consequences of his actions, showing this when he shared an uneasy glance with Newt after the two crashed into the jewellery store's window. [3] When she woke u p and poked her head o utside again, it was quieter, and colder. She only could hear Mommy's voice, and an other one, probably the voice of the wizard girl. They were in the street, and walked side by side, linked by their arms. Delia wished it would last forever. She didn't really know the woman, who called Mommy “ Newt ” all the time. Thinking about it, Bunty did the same, but it didn't sound the same. That was strange ! And Mommy kept calling the wizard girl “ Tina ”. Was she the one who ha d named her ? Oh, that was so exciting ! But Delia was so tired. She was so tired that she napped again, and couldn't hear the end of their conversation. Mommy Newt seemed happy when Tina was there. Like most Nifflers, Teddy had tan skin, dark blue fur, a long snout, and partially-webbed paws. Some of the hair on his head was tinged with grey, perhaps a symbol of old age. He also had a small pouch on his belly that could fit much more than it seemed through use of natural magic similar to that of the Undetectable Extension Charm. Teddy was described as looking like a cross between a mole and a platypus.

Vinda Rosier (Poppy Corby-Tuech)

Was there ever any doubt? Of course the answer to ‘who is the cutest companion?’ is Teddy the Niffler. Of course it is. We fell in love with Teddy even before we knew his name, and upon learning his name, this only served to escalate our adoration for the little guy even further.
