About this deal

Add wood chips to your smoker box.Using long-handled tongs, open the lid of the smoker box. Grab some of the soaked wood chips with the tongs, let the excess water drain off, and drop the wood chips into the smoker box. Stainless steel or cast iron is your best bet, as they will retain heat well while guarding the chips from overheating and burning out. Further to this, they’ll also be durable so will help to withstand being exposed to high cooking temperatures time and time again without rusting or falling apart. How to use a smoker box Place the meat or vegetables on the grate, close the lid and let the food cook. The closer your food is to the smoker box, the more smoky it’s going to taste. With the first sign of smoke, you can now open the grill and place any meat and foods on the grill that you wish to give a smoky flavor. From simple skewers to rotating rotisseries and tongs, spatulas, bbq cleaning brushes or bbq utensils for every occasion, Weber’s superb range of bbq accessories will make grilling for family and friends a pleasure. Mitts, gloves and aprons for maximum safety

Material:While a smoker box is in essence a really simple tool, there is a big difference in cheaper and elite models. This difference can usually be found in the type of metal that they’re made of. As a leader in the gas grill segment, it’s important for Weber to keep improving the functionality of gas grills. Last week CookOut News reported on a dual-burner assembly that Weber developed and now there’s another patent to improve gas grills. A patent has been released showing Weber has developed an L-shaped smoker box with an attached water pan to increase smoke times. Smoker Box While the basic rectangular design works well, and is even integrated in some gas grills, Weber thinks there may be advantages of an L-shaped design. Weber L Shaped Smoker Box in Gas GrillIf you light a BBQ in advance and are adding your smoker box to a gas grill which has been allowed to heat up for the recommended 10-15 minutes then it should take another 10-15 minutes for the box to start smoking. Monday arrived and the official start of the Weber World Summit was scheduled to start in the afternoon. I can't imagine this product warping. I left it in the grill when it was preheating at 500 degrees and then it was in the grill for hours at 350. Mine is as square as the day I got it. One explanation of why I did not have the problem others reported might be the hinge system, two rivets at each end. If you get wood chips on the open lid and between the rivets and force the lid to close, then the rivets will bend. It would appear that the box is warped, but the hinge is just out of alignment. My guess is that others think this is being warped, but it is not. Weber BBQs do most of the cleaning for you so that cleaning your Weber could not be easier. The best Read More >

A smoker box is a simple way to add more smoke to your food when grilling. Traditionally rectangular in shape, they are filled with wood chunks or pellets that smolder inside of the box to create smoke. They are most often used with gas grills but can be used in other applications such as pellet grills or even electric grills. Char-Broil EDGE Electric Grill With Smoker Box L-Shaped Design When you want to grill on the beach or picnic in the park, a portable bbq stand will help to protect the ground, or, if you are worried about flare ups or uneven cooking, a grill mat will help you no matter the location. Don’t forget a great set of bbq tongs, when you are out in the wild! Accessories for wood pellet grills Close the barbecue once again and cook as normal, while getting ready to taste the difference as the smoky flavor builds. Controlling the temperature of a gas grill is not a matter of opening and closing vents, it’s simply a matter of turning knobs. In most cases you will adjust one or two of the main burners during cooking, though if you want to smoke at very low temperatures (below 250°F), turn off all of the main burners and use just the dedicated burner under the smoker box for the heat. Our tailor-made range of barbecue mitts, gloves and aprons will keep you looking smart and protect your hands and clothing from a hot, busy bbq as you sear a juicy steak or flip a homemade burger. Comfortable, hard-wearing and easy to clean, they are everything you look for in bbq clothing and equipment. Professional cleaning toolsThis smoke flow makes them an easy and cost-effective way to get fantastic smokey flavors from your grill that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to. How to choose your smoker box As can be seen in the above diagram from Weber’s patent the smoker box is placed across the grease deflector bars in a gas grill. It’s positioned so that the left side of the smoker box and water pan are resting on a deflector bar (labeled 2224) without a burner beneath it. The right side of the smoker box rests on a deflector bar (labeled 2222) above a burner (labeled 2214), creating zones within smoker box. Smoker Box Zones We held another successful Certified by Weber BBQ event at Sunshine Garden Centre on the 30th July Read More > A smoker box is essentially a small steel box that houses wood chips. The chips are lit and brought to a smolder. Once they are smoldering the lid of the box is closed, and the holes and air vents on the lid allow smoke to flow into the chamber of your gas grill.
