About this deal

Of course, I have also read all the other books in this series, and even though this one can be read as a stand-alone... I would recommend reading all of them since they are all pretty awesome. Dean and Allie's novella (★) — I've never been a fan of Dean but I used to tolerate Allie on some level. Well, after their novella, I can gladly say that these two are the dumbest bitches out there. People who know me know that I can barely stand Dean, but I have to surprisingly say that, in this novella, the boy was probably in the right while Allie was a complete pain in the ass. I get her fears and respect that she didn't feel ready to take some steps regarding her relationship with Dean. The problem is that she REALLY couldn't see that a relationship doesn't solely rotate around one person. She couldn't see past her fears to realize Dean also had some fears of his own and it was really annoying because Dean wasn't forcing her to do anything (it really pains me to say that Dean was somehow in his right). My father would skin me alive if I ever dated THE ENEMY. Dad and Jake’s coach, Daryl Pedersen, have been feuding for years. According to my father, Coach Pedersen sacrifices babies to Satan and performs blood magic in his spare time.” lets just all agree that this was shit. why the hell is grace still annoying?? gosh if i have to hear her complain one more time i will bang my head in

In his arms, I feel steady again, finally upright after being thrown askew. Because when we aren’t together, the world feels misaligned. I loved the fake relationship. I loved how their romance is friends to lovers. I always love when there’s a foundation of friendship from which the romance can be built upon. Conor is SUCH a nice guy, and definitely a reformed manwhore kind of hero. He realizes soon enough that Taylor is it for him, and is so patient with her and her insecurities with herself and her body. (Though there is something towards the end of the book that he does that annoyed me.) But as much as I love a flawed heroine, Taylor did get on my nerves more often than not. I completely understand feeling insecure about one’s body, but it felt like Taylor was a bit careless with Conor because of those insecurities. She’s fat and thinks she’s nowhere near Conor’s level of gorgeous and therefore doesn’t deserve him. But that’s why his patience was a perfect match for Taylor, and by the end of the book I was happy with how their romance turned out. dean & allie - i was so disappointed because this is supposed to be a happy ending type of shit but they kept fighting??? and after 4 years they still go ahead and ignore each other when they disagree? no character development whatsoever. Conor is the resident manwhore at Briar U (think Dean 2.0 😂) but lately the women he’s been with have him feeling a bit bored.. So when a gorgeous girl goes up to him during a frat party and asks him to pretend to have sex with her? It’s the most exciting thing he’s done in a while. This leads to a fantastic fake relationship between Conor and Taylor. And even though there’s always an underlying chemistry between the two, they become genuine, incredible friends. This novella was already published so there wasn't much new content to Logan and Grace story, but surprisingly I didn't enjoy it any less the second time around, even tho this couple is not my favorite in the series. Grace and Logan's part of the book is probably the most chill out of all the four couples. Their 'conflict' wasn't as bad as the others and Logan and Grace had the most couple time where they were happy in each other company imo.

Conor’s my happy accident. My wrong place, wrong time, exactly right guy. He taught me how to love myself against my best efforts, showed me an image of myself I’d never believed was there. Strong. Beautiful. Confident. — Taylor I know that most of us women suffer in one way or another with insecurities, but damn to hear about it in pretty much every chapter was bit too much You two want to get a room?” I ask as they practically hang over me, making googly eyes at each other. If I have one niggle it's the repetitiveness of the characters insecurities. It was mentioned pretty much in every chapter and I guess that can get a little exhausting. This reader wasn't too bothered but I wanted to mention it since I did notice it.The Risk is book two in the Briar U series by Elle Kennedy. We first met Brenna in the first book as she and Summer met and became close friends. I really liked her in that book but I love her in this one. She’s tough, snarky, and determined to succeed. The tiny shout out to Ryan Wesley was a surprise and put a big grin on my face. I love the Him/Us series! And the romance was aces! I appreciated how the relationship between Jake and Brenna progressed. I know I complain about the romance being told instead of shown. This book didn't have that problem.

No couple got really romantic moment, more was giving to guy being together, Jamie was scene-staler so adorable. In end this was boring with least amount of effort from EK. The plot with the doll that the guys were gifting to each other was hilarious. It was always interesting to see where Alexander would appear next, only to see the couples' reaction to it. 😂 A fake relationship romance with an enemies to lovers story that’s fueled by a school rivalry sends the chemistry in this novel off the charts! These two finally have some time away alone together in a tropical paradise, but things don't really go according to plan. There's a creepy haunted doll (that's featured in each novella) and some big decisions to be made about both their careers. Logan and Grace were only ones with no fighting, their part was the one that me laughing the most. The whole trip to Vermont, elopement, logans new year countdown and ALEXANDER, he is one of the main cause for my stomach ache.Being bullied in her sorority at Briar U is nothing new for her. Neither are the douchebags that talk to her cleavage instead of her face. Behind those curves is a bright, whip-smart, snarky young woman who just feels real and authentic. I loved that so much about her. The guy who sees all that and more hides his insecurities behind a golden boy smile and looks. He was raised dirt-poor and only good fortune made it possible for him to go to an Ivy league school. He never feels he belongs, really.
