Unlike the Elite, which has a colored ring on its arm, the Pro has a colored circle on the part enclosing the motor. Some features of the mini are almost similar to what you find in Theragun Prime. So the mini makes the cut if only for this reason.
The Theragun Pro has always represented the most cutting-edge technology Therabody had to offer; it's their most powerful, customisable, professional-grade massage gun. The fifth-generation Pro delivers a flawless, firm massage experience that professional athletes crave and that can help speed up recovery or prevent injuries by readying the muscles for exercise before the session. We found the Pro the largest of all models, measuring 10” x 7.1” x 3” (25.5cm x 18cm x 7.6cm) – that makes it slightly larger than the Elite but observably larger than the Prime. Although the lowest speed, 1750, is still quite aggressive with a stall force of 60 pounds and amplitude of 16mm. I do wish there were lower settings to ease into it for beginners, but the main function by which it creates heat in the muscles and improves blood flow and nerve stimulation is consistent and necessitates the rather aggressive feel. Besides, you can always use the softest attachment (more on that below). In our opinion, reducing the amplitude to around 12 to 13mm and boosting the stall force to at least 40 lbs. could enhance the Prime’s effectiveness. With a device like that you can get a deep percussive massage even on large muscle groups – pecs, hamstrings, glutes etc. It would still be below the Elite but it would hit with better intensity when pressed against the skin. Some of the new features (e.g. pre-set workouts) are probably aimed at less experienced users, which is slightly contradictory, considering the Theragun Pro is the pro's choice, who most likely don't need them. The two new attachments are a bit hit-and-miss, with the thumb being an excellent addition and the Micro-Point – well – pointless.

The Achedaway Pro is a cheaper alternative that can still boast similar features as the Theragun Pro.
We also found that some alternatives, while priced at half the cost, were noticeably quieter and still offer top performance features – the Achedaway Proor Ekrin B37sbeing one of our favorite ones.

We just had a bit of concern with the Mini. Yes they may have ingeniously kept the triangular shape, but ergonomically it falls short in our opinion. A traditional round handle would’ve been the best design choice in our opinion.

(Author: Greg) We noticed that the battery’s shape has changed from the 4th Gen model, which appears to prevent users from using the 4th Gen batteries in the new model, and vice versa. There are a few exceptions though, but generally the shorter the amplitude the more intense the device will get. However, we always warn you to beware of devices that have way shorter amplitudes. These offer vibrational therapy rather than percussive therapy. However, note that even here, the stall force is progressive. In other words, you won’t get 60lbs. across all speed gears. The only time the Pro stalls with 60lbs. of force is when it’s revving at high intensity. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. Because of individual state regulations, some of the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.Here Theragun varies the stall force for all 4 devices. Just a glimpse on what we felt about the stall force for all 4 devices. Therabody claims this massage gun is 20% quieter. I measured an average range between 52 and 62 decibels, an improvement over the previous model's 77 decibels. Just like the Pro, the Achedaway Pro has a 16mm amplitude which guarantees a deep tissue percussive therapy massage.
