About this deal

The Elac Debut ConneX DCB41 are powered speakers that don't take up much space. The individual units stand around a hand-span high, fitting into most places with ease. Build quality is pleasing, good and solid. These speakers would be right at home on a desktop, but can also work in a decently-sized room next to your TV or stereo system provided you don’t require party levels. A great sounding, versatile streaming system ideal for buyers on a budget.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ 2023 award-winner.

The Rubicon 2 Cs’ presentation is wonderfully cohesive across the frequencies: highs, lows and mids are distinctly defined, yet never stray from their seemingly effortless coordination with one another. Just be aware that both KEF speaker systems don’t have a phono input, so those who want to play vinyl will require a turntable with a built-in phono stage or an external phono stage to make that possible. The Triangle does have an integrated phono input, but know that it isn’t of the same high quality as the streaming output.KEF's striking design is matched by stunning sonics, enhanced by refreshed Uni-Q drivers and KEF's all-new MAT absorption technology. The presentation is spacious and the addition of the new MAT technology can be heard in the refined treble and clean mids. The LS60 Wireless system is a fantastic achievement and a fitting way to celebrate KEF’s 60th anniversary. Like the very best kit, we want to keep on listening to the Triangle AIO Twin. And that’s the best recommendation we can give to someone looking for a neat, elegant system that does it (nearly) all. If you’re looking for a fun music system that also sounds hugely capable in hi-fi terms, and that you don’t have to pay over a grand for, this system is worth your attention. For some time now, Triangle Electroacoustique has obviously been trying to gain a foothold in a somewhat broader market and has been focusing on so-called wireless speakers, such as the latest product, the Triangle AIO TWIN Speakers. Triangle AIO TWIN Speakers is the latest system from Triangle Electroacoustique, the French specialist for loudspeaker systems. The fact that this is once again a compact, versatile active loudspeaker system shows that the French are consistently trying to expand their target group.

The Triangle AIO TWIN Speakers are active two-way systems that use a 25 mm tweeter in combination with a 13 cm low-mid driver and a rear-firing bass reflex system. They are driven by Class D amplifier modules with a power output of two times 50 watts. The frequency response that can be covered with this solution is specified as 56 Hz up to 22 kHz. Interfaces…. all there It’s only with the built-in phono stage does it falter. While the peppy character remains the same, it doesn’t sound as clear, precise or expressive compared with the other inputs. The sound quality when streaming through wi-fi is far superior. There is no wireless connectivity, just RCA or balanced XLR inputs for connecting your source components. But the AE1 Active do feature adjustable controls for bass and treble, so you can fine-tune the sound to suit your room.Power comes from a dedicated 50-watt class A/B power amplifier module for each drive unit. With the help of the app, as well as the Linkplay technology, it is also possible to realise multi-room audio streaming. Streaming can be controlled directly via the app in each individual room, the volume can be adjusted, the sound can be optimised via the sound control or different speakers can be connected with each other. A very important aspect in the development of the Triangle AIO TWIN Speakers was an outstanding design. Not only the proverbial French esprit is relied on, but also the cooperation with the Scandinavian specialist Gabriel, who are responsible for the textile covering of the loudspeaker grill. If three boxes (one streaming amp plus two speaker cabinets) is still one box too many, but you still want a sound that’s more sophisticated and room-filling than the one you’d get from a talented but ultimately limited one-boxer such as the Sonus Faber Omnia, you might want to consider another burgeoning hi-fi category: the all-in-one speaker system. Everything – source, amplification and speakers – in just two speaker cabinets. The silence needed to give a dramatic effect when the interplay of instruments stops abruptly isn’t wholly recreated, but it’s a relatively minor issue in an otherwise pleasant overall performance.
