About this deal

Due to the level of interest in the James Bond movie franchise and Sean Connery in particular, cameras frequently had to be hidden whilst shooting on location so the production schedule would not get seriously delayed. After the fabulous ‘Skyfall’, the world is holding its breath for the 24th James Bond film, ‘Spectre’ coming out in November, perfectly timed for my birthday – as is tradition 🙂 To promote the film, United Artists Television produced a one-hour colour television programme titled Welcome to Japan, Mr. Bond, which first aired on 2 June 1967 in the United States on NBC. [39] Bond regulars Lois Maxwell and Desmond Llewelyn appeared, playing respectively Miss Moneypenny and Q. Kate O'Mara appears as Miss Moneypenny's assistant. [40] The programme shows clips from You Only Live Twice and the then four existing Bond films, and contained a storyline of Moneypenny trying to establish the identity of Bond's bride. x 40″ Most common poster size used in the UK. British Quads are horizontal and may have different artwork to the US one sheet. Like a US one sheet they normally come in two versions. Like a US one sheet they are usually supplied single-sided or more commonly now as a double sided poster. But what about the brief glimpse of the venue for the crisis meeting between the USA, Russia and the UK after the incident? Most people – including Norwegian Bond fans – may not be aware that this is actually Magerø radar station at Tjøme, near Oslo. Jan Werich was originally cast by producer Harry Saltzman to play Blofeld. Upon his arrival at the Pinewood set, both producer Albert R. Broccoli and director Lewis Gilbert felt that he was a poor choice, resembling a "poor, benevolent Father Christmas". Nonetheless, in an attempt to make the casting work, Gilbert continued filming. After several days, both Gilbert and Broccoli determined that Werich was not menacing enough, and recast Blofeld with Donald Pleasence in the role. [7] Pleasence's ideas for Blofeld's appearance included a hump, a limp, a beard, and a lame hand, before he settled on the scar. [19] He found it uncomfortable, though, because of the glue that attached it to his eye. [20] It is also the first Bond film in which 007 does not visit Britain. and the first in which he is shown wearing his Royal Navy uniform and that he holds the rank of Commander.

Charles Gray, who played Dikko Henderson, actually says the famous "shaken not stirred" line the other way round saying "that is stirred not shaken, that was right wasn't it?" Bond replies "Perfect." You Only Live Twice was the last Bond film to make extensive use of voice dubbing. In this film and most of those made previously, many of Bond’s leading ladies and villains were overdubbed by other actors. For example Tiger Tanaka’s voice was dubbed by another actor, but one line remains in his own voice – when he speaks Japanese bathing him and Bond. x 81″ printed on paper. These were printed on two or three separate sheets designed to overlap, few survive. Used for larger advertising spaces, normally posted on walls, perfect for huge movie theatres the drive-in, where people could see them from a distance. From the 1970’s on, three-sheets were sometimes printed in one piece and issued as “international” versions to be used abroad. BRITISH Posters Sean Connery Stars in 'Welcome to Japan, Mr. Bond' ".
