This shows the A5000 with the disc drives and memory upgrade removed. In the top left you can see the blanking plate where a second floppy disc can be installed and see the 2 floppy disc connectors on the motherboard. The disc drives are on a metal tray which has double hooks on either side which fit into the double slots on the case half way along on the left and right sides. There is also a tab which fits over the tab above the floppy disc connectors with a single screw to hold it all in place. Nvidia still has some work to do to flesh out its Ampere family. While mobile workstations already have entry-level RTX A2000 and A3000 GPUs, there’s no equivalent for desktops. NEWLY DESIGNED 2-PIN SOFT SILVER COATED CABLEThe attached cable is a newly designed product newly developed for the A5000. 8-core silver-coated OFC wire is woven into it, making it soft and easy to handle. The 2-Pin connector is a high-precision product developed in-house and uses the φ0.78 standard, which is considered to be the most versatile. Color Temperature : 2500 to 9900K & Color Filter (G7 to M7: 15-steps, A7 to B7: 15-steps), Custom, Underwater Working in conjunction with optional Sony rear speakers, 360 Sound Mapping produces heightened surround sound effects. Using Sony’s unique signal processing skills, 360 Sound Mapping creates multiple phantom speakers. This gives the impression of more of the sound coming from above and behind you, enveloping you yet further in the action.
Even so, the application is still CPU limited to some extent, so the performance benefit the new cards give you isn’t as big as you’d get from a dedicated real-time viz tool.Otherwise, the Sony HT-A5000 has all the attributes for a good music performance: solid dynamics, good vocal clarity, bright (but not too sharp) treble reproduction, and lots of energy and power driving its sound. I wouldn’t tend to play music above volume 50 unless you’re hosting a party. Listening to Mitski’s Stay Soft feels like I’m on a workout. Other more niche pro viz features include support for 3D Stereo, Nvidia Mosaic for professional multi-display solutions, and Quadro Sync II, an add-in card that can synchronise the display and image output from multiple GPUs within a single system, or across a cluster of systems. The raw performance should be similar to the GeForce RTX 3080 for laptops at the same TGP level. Both GPUs depend heavily on good cooling and a high TGP for good performance. At a similar power consumption level the RTX A5000 should be clearly faster than the old Quadro RTX 5000and 5000 Max-Q. The desktop variant of the A5000 however, is a lot faster. The 20 megapixel images are a little soft straight out of the camera using the default Standard creative style and ideally require some further sharpening in an application like Adobe Photoshop, or you can change the in-camera sharpening level. The built-in flash worked well indoors with no red-eye and good overall exposure. The night photograph was excellent, with the maximum shutter speed of 30 seconds and the Bulb mode offering lots of scope for creative night photography.
There is no viewfinder on the A5000, but the 3-inch 460,000-dot LCD screen is a tilting unit that can be tipped up through 180 degrees to help when shooting selfies. It's worth noting that there is also no hotshoe or accessories port, so you can't add any external accessories to the camera. Inside the Sony Alpha a5000 is an APS-C format Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor with 20.1 million effective pixels and the same Bionz X processor as found in the A7, A7R and the recently announced A6000. Furthermore, as the Nvidia RTX A4000 is a single slot GPU with a max power consumption of 140W delivered through a single 6-pin PCIe connector, it’s available in a wide range of desktop workstation form factors. This includes compact towers like the HP Z2 Tower G8 and Dell Precision 3650. However, CAD applications are changing and, in the future, should be able to make much better use of the plentiful power of higher-end GPUs like the RTX A4000 and A5000. Both Autodesk with its new One Graphics System and Dassault Systèmes are currently working on new graphics engines that use more modern graphics APIs like Vulkan. This should not only improve general 3D performance but will make real-time ray tracing available directly in the viewport. So, while the RTX A4000 / A5000 might not give notable performance benefits in CAD right now, they could certainly do so in the future.Two, it supports Nvidia RTX vWS (virtual workstation software) so it can deliver multiple high-performance virtual workstation instances that enable remote users to share resources. In the Lenovo ThinkStation P620, for example, you could get a very high density of CAD/BIM users who only need high-end RTX performance from time to time.

Ingeniously fitted within this sleek Sony soundbar is an entire 5.1.2 home cinema speaker system. Left, right and centre speakers at the front are matched with beam tweeters for an enveloping sound that wraps around you. Dual subwoofers provide the hair-raising intensity demanded by action movies. Up-firing speakers complete the Dolby Atmos/DTS:X speaker array, giving a three dimensional height to the soundstage. Some might say U shape, some might even V shape, for me it’s more like a W shape (even with slight recessed mids I think they are in a nice level still), slight priority to the sub-bass.
UPDATE: 25 March 2022. Nvidia recently launched the Nvidia RTX A4500 and RTX A5500 to held boost supply of its high-end pro workstation GPUs. These were done on two different workstations with a 32-core Threadripper Pro 3970X and a quad core Intel Xeon W-2125 CPU.For comparison, we used the last two generations of ‘4000’ class Nvidia pro GPUs – the 8 GB ‘Turing’ Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 (from 2019) and the 8 GB ‘Pascal’ Nvidia Quadro P4000 (from 2017).
