About this deal

We believe in al-Lawh (the Tablet) and al-Qalam (the Pen) and in everything written on it. Even if all created beings were to gather together to make something fail to exist, whose existence Allah had written on the Tablet, they would not be able to do so. And if all created beings were to gather together to make something exist which Allah had not written on it, they would not be able to do so. The Pen has dried having written down all that will be in existence until the Day of Judgement. Whatever a person has missed he would have never got it, and whatever one gets, he would have never missed it. He has many works on the clarification and explanation of the Sunnah, the reinforcement of its pillars, and the destruction of innovations. We agree with doing the prayer behind any of the people of the qiblah whether right-acting or wrong-acting, and doing the funeral prayer over any of them when they die. A man's Islam is not secure unless it is based on submission and surrender. Anyone who desires to know things which it is beyond his capacity to know, and whose intellect is not content with surrender, will find that his desire veils him from a pure understanding of Allah's true unity, clear knowledge and correct belief. and that he veers between disbelief and belief, confirmation and denial and acceptance and rejection. He will he subject to whisperings and find himself confused and full of doubt, being neither an accepting believer nor a denying rejector. A beneficial commentary, with special attention to the Qur’anic verses proving each tenet of belief. It contains a number of beneficial discussions, not found in other available commentaries. It was then edited using three manuscripts of the authors final copy and printed by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Waqf, incorrectly attributed to Akmal ad-Din al-Babarti. Dr. Abd as-Sattar Abu Ghuddah, who is apparently an Ash’ari, spoiled this edition by filling it with pseudo-Salafi aqidah footnotes, from Ibn Abi al-Izz’s Sharh. His excuse when asked about it was that the dean of the institute refused to allow the book to be printed without the footnotes. This is because He has power over all things and all things are in need of Him. [13] Every matter is easy for Him. He has no need of anything, for ‘there is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.’ [14]This is the summary of what is needed by those who have enlightened hearts among the allies of Allah Almighty. It is the degree of those rooted in knowledge, for knowledge in the creation is of two types: accessible knowledge and inaccessible knowledge. To deny accessible knowledge is unbelief, and to claim to know what is inaccessible is unbelief. [60] Faith is only affirmed by accepting accessible knowledge and abandoning pursuit of inaccessible knowledge. [61] Translation of Muqaddimah Al-Risalah ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani by Imam Abu Muhammad Abdullah Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani (310-389 AH). There is only one religion of Allah in the heavens and the earth and that is the religion of Islam. Allah says: 'Surely religion in the sight of Allah is Islam'. (Al 'Imran 3: 19) And He also says: 'I am pleased with Islam as a religion for you'. (al-Matidah 5: 3) The vision of the people of Paradise is true, without being all-encompassing and without modality. As expressed in the Book of our Lord, ‘Faces on that Day will be radiant, looking at their Lord,’ [37] The explanation of this is as Allah Almighty intended and knows.

Al-'Aqidat at-Tahawiyyah (Kindle Edition), translated by Tahir Mahmood Kiani. First published in 2012 by T. M. Kiani. [18] Allah Almighty has always known the number of those who would enter Paradise and the number of those who would enter Hellfire, a single allocation. This number will neither increase nor decrease. [52]

The doctrines enumerated in this work are entirely derived from the Qur'an and the authentic Hadith. It starts with the monotheistic oneness of God, then goes on to the assertion of His positive and eternal attributes. Al-Tahawi asserts the reality of the beatific vision without modality ( bila kayf). Most of the other theoretical issues relating to the next world are not rationally explained. God can predetermine some people to be happy and others to be miserable. Knowledge of the decree of God is not given to mankind. Belief consists of assent by heart and confession by tongue. Sinners cannot be declared to be unbelievers. The actions of man are the creation of God and the acquisition of man. [4] Commentators [ edit ]
