There are also other ways to treat a fever other than using Calpol or Calprofen for temperature increases: For example, you can give Calpol at 8am, Calprofen at 11am and Calpol again at 2pm. Prolonged use at higher than recommended doses may result in severe hypokalaemia and renal tubular acidosis.
