About this deal

While the traditional Henry has an A class energy efficiency rating, other models don’t match it. The worst is actually the Harry, which has a C class energy efficiency rating. It is important because a higher consumption vacuum cleaner will use more, costing you more in power. They aren’t as environmentally friendly either, so if being E-friendly is important to you the basic Henry is the better model. Size & Shape Unlike Charles, He comes with many more tools. He can also pump shampoo from his internal tank. The Carpet and Upholstery tools spray out the shampoo and extract at the same time. Giving your fabrics a deep clean with reduced drying times.

First of all, George isn’t the only green member of the Henry family, so be sure you’re not looking at a Harry, instead. Those big grins get confusing. Harry is lovely but he is liable to blow up if you try to shampoo a carpet with him. Detailed below are what you should look for – or what you should ask yourself – before you buy your Henry vacuum cleaner. Dust Bin Capacity

The Numatic George is a useful all-in-one that’s great at wet cleaning but lacks the finesse of modern vacuum cleaners

Next (and while we are on the subject of allergies) let’s talk dogs and cats. If you have a hairy pet can George keep up? His big green grin seems confident. George vs Dog and Cat Hair

However, there are caveats to this general recommendation. The first is that it’s a bit of a faff to convert the George between vacuum and carpet cleaner. The second is that, while it offers powerful suction, it’s not the most luxurious vacuum cleaner in terms of ease of use. The wet cleaning tools require some additional effort to use, but they performed brilliantly during testing. litres dry dust bin capacity, which is a huge amount of space. Wet, the Charles holds 9 litres. An easy-to-operate switch goes between the two.We gave the George a 10 out of 10 for carpets. You can’t just vacuum them, you can shampoo them, clean up stains, and use it on the furniture, too… which brings us to our next point. George vs Furniture The Henry Wash vacuum is the newest release in Numatics wet vacuum range. This is a true wet vacuum with all of the wet features and tools that george has.. but comes with nothing to use him as a dry vacuum. This means he is a less money than George too. Dry Use - He comes with all of the dry tools and filter that you would get with a standard dry Henry.

If you’re looking for a powerful vacuum cleaner that can be relied upon to clean both wet and dry surfaces, you’d be hard pressed to find a better solution than George the Hoover. George is a great all-in-one vacuum that is more than adequate at cleaning both dry and wet surfaces. Due to his extra-long hose and useful adapters, George is great for cleaning all types of surfaces, including carpets, hard floors, upholstery, stairs and the car. He also is the only vacuum in the Numatic range that has a shampoo facility, so if you want a carpet cleaner as well as a hard floor wet vacuum cleaner, George is a great option.

Please note: This review is of the GVE 370-2 model. When we refer to the “Numatic George,” we are specifically talking about this version of the vacuum. There may be differences in features and design between this model and other versions. Overview of the Numatic George GVE 370-2’s Features Carpet and upholstery shampooing. Unlike most wet and dry vacuums, the George includes a special nozzle for shampooing carpets. It also has a smaller nozzle for shampooing upholstery, stairs or car interiors. Fun Fact : Interestingly Hetty was not the first female vacuum by Numatic. “Wendy” was released in 1997 in a very limited number. She is green... yes green.. and is steel not plastic. Once it’s ready to clean, we think the George does a decent job of vacuuming both carpets and hard floors. It’s also surprisingly effective at removing pet hair, although we still recommend buying the extra pet tool if your dog or cat sheds a lot.

There is an all-purpose nozzle which comes with a removable brush, designed to make things easier when cleaning furniture and stairs. There is also a hose adapter for smaller and more confined surfaces. All cautions aside, the George vacuum can clean your sofa so thoroughly that you will be disgusted by the streaks made by the first stroke. Be warned: if you clean one part of the couch you can’t stop there. You need to do the whole thing. We suggest only cleaning your upholstery if you are feeling energetic!

Harry

As we mentioned above, we couldn’t locate a suction class for the George. What we can tell you is that it runs at 1060 – the maximum suction power allowed by the EU. This is the power level that both provides good suction input while simultaneously minimizing harm to the environment through energy usage. It’s not nearly as heavy as you would think for all those extras. It isn’t expensive, it doesn’t make much noise. Like some of the other named vacuums, we have recently seen the introduction of their Henry counterpart. The 'Henry Wash' shares all of the mentioned features, so maybe George will slowly be phased out.
