About this deal

Weeks are ambiguous, though. Personally, I feel that a calendar week runs from Monday to Sunday. At least in American culture, we all refer to the 2 day weekEND. I think our traditional calendar here shows Sunday as the first day of the week because of a biblical reference. But even if we all agree that the next week starts after a weekend, there’s still the problem of calendar week vs. current 7 day period beginning with today. When one says next week, they could either be referring to this coming Monday through Sunday period, because they would refer to the current Monday through Sunday period as this week. Or, they could be referring to 7-13 days from now. It all depends on what a person is currently meaning by the word week. Week can’t be standardized, but should be understood by context.

In particular, the Mannings have shown the power of personality. Their stardom allows them to joke without losing credibility, and has helped them push the edge of the envelope in ways traditional broadcasts can’t, such as focusing on a protester who ran onto the field during the Rams-49ers game. Quakers traditionally referred to Thursday as "Fifth Day" eschewing the pagan origin of the English name "Thursday". For people born on ThursdayIn the United Kingdom, all general elections since 1935 have been held on a Thursday, and this has become a tradition, although not a requirement of the law — which merely states that an election may be held on any day "except Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good Friday, bank holidays in any part of the United Kingdom and any day appointed for public thanksgiving and mourning". [16] Everyone chases after happiness, not noticing that happiness is right at their heels.” – Bertolt Brecht Orange is a very important color in Thai and Buddhist culture, as monks wear orange robes to symbolize the flame of a burning fire and as a symbol of truth. 8. A good day to vote Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is ‘yourer’ than you.” – Dr. Seuss According to Nostradamus' prediction (Century 1, Quatrain 50), a powerful (but otherwise unidentified) leader who will threaten "the East" will be born of three water signs and takes Thursday as his feast day. [20]

That’s right, Thor, the God of Thunder himself, is the namesake of Thursday. It’s fitting too. Wednesday is named for Odin, Thor’s father. Okay, you know the drill. It wouldn’t be a collection of fun facts about Thursday without a language lesson! Most Thursday origins relate to it being the fourth day of the week. In the United Kingdom, all general elections have been held on a Thursday since 1935, and this has become a tradition, although not a requirement of the law. The Thursday before Easter is also known as Maundy Thursday or Sheer Thursday in the United Kingdom, which is traditionally a day of cleaning and giving out Maundy money. She got the magazine on a Wednesday morning, and on Thursday announced our marriage was over.” – David Gest In most Romance languages, the day is named after the Roman god Jupiter, who was the god of sky and thunder. In Latin, the day was known as Iovis Dies, "Jupiter's Day". In Latin, the genitive or possessive case of Jupiter was Iovis/ Jovis and thus in most Romance languages it became the word for Thursday: Italian giovedì, Spanish jueves, French jeudi, Sardinian jòvia, Catalan dijous, Galician xoves and Romanian joi. This is also reflected in the p-Celtic Welsh dydd Iau.In Australia, most cinema movies premieres are held on Thursdays. Also, most Australians are paid on a Thursday, either weekly or fortnightly.
