About this deal

Since the SFT70 is either a 6V or 12V emitter, the P23i uses a boost driver to provide the necessary voltage. To obtain these numbers, I used a very rudimentary integrated shoebox and ceilingbounce on my Samsung Galaxy S10. Measurements have been calibrated using a standardized calibration light provided by 1Lumen. Lumen measurements (for each mode) With turbo, high, medium, low, and ultralow modes, you can easily choose the right brightness level for your needs. I measured the P23i over specifications for almost every mode; turbo at 30 seconds didn’t quite hit its mark, but it does when it’s first turned on. 480 meters, or even 450 meters is a long way to throw! The indicator also actually blinks out the (approximate) cell voltage specifically, and when the power is connected (or disconnected from being charged). The indicator blinks the ones of voltage (four blinks means 4V) then pauses 1.5 seconds and blinks the tenths. So four blinks, then pause, then one blink is equal to 4.1V Charging

The tail is comprised of a standard button and a flat paddle (mode) button. Operating in Daily Mode (the default setting)The numbers for candela were obtained with a UNI-T UT383S luxmeter at 5 and 15 meters, then averaged. Mode As I mentioned before, the P23i has two buttons: A circular on/off switch, and a flat Strobe Ready™ mode paddle. I’ll refer to them here as the circular and mode buttons. Big bright flashlight. Had to read the instructions to figure out where the mode switch is. Prefer it on the side. From my experience with other P series flashlights, I know these things are made to last. The P23i worked perfectly fine under the shower and even underwater — what else can you ask for? BLINDING 3000 LUMEN BEAM - This amount of blinding brightness will disorientate anyone in front of you. It also shines through heavily tinted windows, smoke, and fog.

The P23i also has a power indicator that blinks in blue during the charging process to show the battery voltage (±0.1V). This acts as a handy charging status indicator too. The lighting modes are AMAZINGLY bright and long throws, and you can visibly see the difference in the brightness gap; Luminus SFT 70 LED magic. The Nitecore P23i tactical flashlight features an all new Luminus SFT-70 LED for improved brightness and long range lighting. The torch boasts an impressive output of 3000 lumens and a maximum beam distance of 470 meters. Pretty good output here! Solid regulation, too. While the P23i doesn’t quite hit high and turbo, it’s still very close, especially on turn on. Mode

3000 Lumen Long Throw Flashlight

The battery indicator light on the side of the head will blink rapidly when the voltage gets low and the light will step down until it turns off at 2.9V. The Nitecore P23i is a high performance rechargeable torch with a maximum output of 3000 lumens from a Luminus SFT-70 LED for improved performance and distance, with a maximum beam range of 470 metres. The Nitecore P23i flashlight has a maximum output of 3000 lumens from the Luminus SFT-70 LED and is powered by an included NL2150HPi iSeries 21700 battery. The light is rechargeable via a USB-C port at the head of the light and comes with a USB charging cable. Being a tactical flashlight, the P23i is designed for ease of operation. It can be stored in the holster either bezel up or bezel down, so you can carry it the way that best suits your usage. Speaking of the holster, it’s made from tough webbing and closes with a generous amount of hook and loop, so the light won’t be falling out. You can attach it either through a plastic D-ring, or a fixed or hook and loop closing belt loops, though it’s about an inch and a half across, so it won’t fit in standard MOLLE webbing. The P23i has a range of tactical features including a strike bezel for emergency use, impact resistance up to 2 meters, a dedicated tactical mode and one-hand operation. The flashlight is compatible with a variety of accessories including the Nitecore RSW2i remote switch, TSL10i signal light, gun mounts and 32mm filters, diffusers and traffic wands (all sold separately).

The P23i is specially designed for tactical applications such as night searching and distinguishing targets. The dual tail switch design provides a tactical tail button with momentary-on, constant - on and a mode button with output adjustment and the ability to instantly access strobe. The U-shape tail cap also helps prevent accidental operation while being carried and can also be used to attach the included wrist lanyard.

Designed for law enforcement, assault operations, self-defense, search, and high-risk patrols.

Nitecore has used a Luminus SFT-70 emitter in the P23i. This emitter is coupled with a smooth and fairly deep reflector.

In addition to the tactical mode which offers four brightness levels and strobe mode, daily mode can be used which provides the full five brightness levels ranging from 50 to 3000 lumens, plus strobe. The Nitecore P23i flashlight is designed to ensure the user can insert the battery without worrying about the direction. Nitecore’s Srobe Ready™ lights use a variable strobe mode. When holding the mode button all the way down, it starts at 16 Hz and speeds up to 20 Hz over the course of about 5 seconds, then repeats. This is done to further disorient whoever’s on the receiving end. Since its establishment in 2007, Nitecore has been recognized for its durable, reliable, and high-performing products. Its flashlights are highly regarded for their bright and long-lasting beams, making them ideal for outdoor activities. When in the light, a complete circuit is made (as you can see, the blue light is on below.) However without the tailcap, you don’t have any switches, so can’t turn the light on. About ANSI FL1 standards: The runtime is measured until the light drops to 10% of its initial output (30 seconds after turning on). This does not mean that the flashlight is not usable anymore. The last column shows how long the light actually works till it shuts off. If there is a + symbol, it means that the test was stopped at that particular point, but the light was actually still running. This happens on certain occasions, with certain drivers, firmware, or batteries. Peak beam intensity and beam distance measurements
