About this deal

Inside this movement, there are 21 jewels that act to reduce frictions at various moving parts inside the watch. It’s also moving at 21600 vibrations per hour or 6 beats per second.

Not knowing where to go, I turned to a local trusted watchmaker and was advised that the mainplate had been unusually worn or elongated, hence the reason the stem wouldn't engage into movement. For now, I have just assumed this was user error. Besides, the watch would be well out of warranty. As mentioned earlier, there are three case designs available for this model. These are stainless steel, gunmetal, or gold-finished. The markers are stainless steel index markers. But what is interesting is the markers are beveled instead of flat, which gives a very nice dimensional look due to it reflecting lights from different angle. All in all, there’s really nothing to complain about the dial, and Orient has done a great job with its execution. Orient Symphony III MovementThrilled with the quality for the price, as well as the great communication and customer service from Island Watches. Already on the lookout for my next Orient, and I know who I will be buying it from! So, you're declining service and you're also declining assistance to reach out to your parent company in Japan? The company should stay upfront that customers should not ever seek repair nor service. With their reputation take a hit? Who knows, and they probably don’t care.

You can also try reaching out to distributors in neighboring countries to see if any of them would be able to assist you further in this matter. You can view a list of the worldwide official distributors sorted by region here."Please advise. Unless you can provide a warm introduction or reach out direct to Japan to assist, I'd rather not be directed to them as I've had no response from Japan whatsoever." The Orient Symphony II also makes a great gift to a father, a brother, a son or a friend who may not know much about watches yet. The combination of affordable price and durability makes it easy on the wallet, and resilient to a new user who may not be familiar or want to deal with watch care. Although not everyone will fall in love with this kind of design, its conservatism and simplicity is something that I feel can be generally appreciated. This is the third Orient watch review I’ve done, and like the other two, the Symphony feels well built. The rotor precisely winds the movement, the hands are properly aligned, and the movement feels taught and firm when operated.

The Bambino has a very domed mineral crystal, which looks great to look at. There are also some difference in the dial design but the difference in watch crystal form is the most obvious between these two lovely watches. We are sorry to hear that, but we would unfortunately not be able to provide any further advice in this scenario as we are unable to ship our products internationally as per our agreement with the manufacturer and so cannot offer any repair services to any customers living outside of the US/ Canada." Both have big advantage to the usability of an automatic watch, though I have to say that in my opinion manual winding capability is a much bigger advantage to have (read my post here on why and how to wind an automatic watch for more info). On the other hand, I would be hesitant to expose a 30-meter water-resistant watch to more than just the occasional splash. I think of it as a sort of a sibling rivalry. The Bambino is the cool and popular older brother who is all talk while the Symphony is the quiet and reserved younger brother who keeps his head down and gets the job done. At Orient, they believe in letting the quality of their watches speak for themselves. Therefore, unlike many Swiss brands, they spend a limited amount on advertising. Instead, they focus on creating timepieces that match or even surpass, the quality of more expensive watches while keeping the prices reasonable. They accomplish this by using superior materials, employing skilled artisans, and producing their own in-house movements that are highly accurate and dependable. The Bambino’s stand-out domed crystal is a big part of what makes that watch special; that stand-out piece is it’s “killer app”. The only stand-out part of the Symphony is its position as an ultra-affordable auto. Visually, it’s a vanilla and safe piece that is easy to tell time on. The dauphine hands also has the same beveled design. On top of the markers at the outer edge of the dial are minute markings which is useful to help tell and set time accurately.

The case of this gorgeous watch has an average diameter of 41 mm, with a thin profile of 12 mm. The Orient Symphony also has small short lugs, which will keep the watch short. If you are looking for a stylish, classy, and well-built automatic timepiece, this may be a watch for you. Thanks to the short lugs, the watch will also fit most wrists without it looking huge. The slim and short lugs also go very well with the purpose and concept of this watch. The dial of the Orient symphony is beautiful and extremely classy. In addition, it is also beautifully finished with great attention to detail that gives the impression that this watch is much more expensive than it actually is.
