Reclaimed wood is a live material and responds to its natural surroundings and, like all living things, it ages. So over time you may notice the wood changing slightly as it adapts to your home. This is completely normal. Our beautifully handcrafted Chunky X Frame rustic dining table combines characterful rustic wood with an industrial style steel frame to create statement pieces of furniture. Application can be by cloth, brush or sponge. If applying to an open grained bare wood it would be best to apply a coat of Shellac Sanding Sealer first to provide a base for a more consistent and resilient finish. After application, allow to dry for about 3 minutes before buffing with a soft cloth. For larger areas a drill buffing brush can be used. Applying additional coats will deepen the existing colour or shade and significantly enhance the resulting sheen level.

Surfaces treated with Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish can be dry wiped with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove surface dust. For minor surface stains, scuffs and marks, wipe with a slightly dampened (not wet) cloth with water and Fiddes Floor Surface Cleaner. Light– A clear wax that maintains the existing, natural colour of the wood without changing the colour too much. This is ideal if you want to show the grain without darkening the wood. Antique Brown – This is very popular on new woods as it produces a light honey brown shade, offering a slightly antique look.

To obtain a uniform colour, always wipe evenly, blending the Supreme Wax over the whole surface area by exerting a small degree of pressure when applying by hand. Take care to lightly remove any excess Supreme Wax immediately with a separate, clean absorbent cloth, again following the direction of the grain pattern.
