Nana Ling has attributed this recipe to “Nan”– I wonder if it’s from her Nan, who would be my 3 x great grandmother? Snowballs ingredients So folks I know we're all exceptionally busy getting ready for the big day but if you can find yourself just 20 minutes you can easily make these. Then they take just 10 minutes to set. The “snow” behind our snowballs! The recipe states 60-70 grams of coconut, this is simply because some desiccated coconuts are finer than others. Sugar, Glucose syrup, Desiccated coconut (16%) ( sulphites), Vegetable oils (palm, palm kernel), Skimmed milk powder, Egg white, Whey powder ( milk), Fat reduced cocoa powder, Emulsifier ( soya lecithin), Salt, Vanillin, Fortified wheat flour ( wheat flour, calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin), Sugar, Rapeseed oil, Raising agent (sodium bicarbonate), Salt, Emulsifier ( soya lecithin) FOR ALLERGENS: Mum's no-bake chocolate snowballs are delicious easy to make chocolate balls made from just 6 ingredients. This is a fantastic holiday recipe kids will love!

In 1998, Lees created massive new premises an 82,000 sqaure foot factory, purpose built for them - still in Coatbridge, where all of Lees products being manufactured there. Add the egg and egg yolk and mix to form a dough. If this is a little too loose then just add in a little more flour. Using an electric hand whisk, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in the vanilla, melted chocolate and milk.I have made these with regular sized marshmallows and with mini-marshmallows and I have to say, the regular marshmallows work much better here. The mini-marshmallows made for a smaller, cuter, truffle-sized snowball but there wasn’t enough marshmallow for me. I know you’re going to love these Marshmallow Snowballs! They’re so fun and festive and I guarantee they are going to be a huge hit this Christmas! But seriously, you won’t be making them just for Christmas -they’ll be on a heavy rotation! Prepare some items ahead of time. At the end of the year, things get real hectic… real fast. So do your future self a favor and begin soon. Review how to freeze cookie doughand you’ll be thankful you had a head start!

This Scottish snowball recipe couldn’t be easier really. But I must warn you folks, this gets messy! But Snowballs recipes vary… some are filled with marshmallow, while others are made in a similar fashion to Rum Balls or Apricot Balls, with condensed milk and crushed biscuits or cereal. Combine the butter, sugar, milk, cocoa, and salt together in a large saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until the butter melts, then bring to a boil. Allow to boil for 1 minute without whisking. Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract, then pour over the oats/coconut. Stir until combined. Cover tightly with aluminum foil or plastic wrap and chill for at least 45 minutes and up to 2-3 days. A little bit of salt is added to your bun dough, to help balance out the sweetness. The quantity listed in the recipe is reflective of using a typical table salt – if you use something like sea salt, this could alter the taste slightly. Mix all the ingredients together then put in the fridge, until ready to roll. This is the stage after all the ingredients are mixed together then put in the fridge to set.

Now make up a thin icing with water and icing sugar and dip the cake snowballs into this. I told you this was going to get messy! In this recipe, milk is needed to add a little more moisture to the snowball buns. It’s personal preference as to what kind of milk you use – dairy, soya and coconut are all great options. Trading took a dip towards the end of the decade and this led to the company seeing record losses in 1990 before being sold to Northumbrian Fine Foods a year later.
