The CP100+ ear tips are a recent release of SpinFit’s and an update to the current CP100 model. The CP100+ tips incorporate medical-grade silicone material to promote a more durable and comforting fit as well as a stiffer inner core. In terms of sonic impressions, there are subtle differences compared to the original CP100 model. For example the CP100+ has a slight bass elevation and more control over the higher frequencies than its original counterpart. If it is plastic sealed when you get it, it should remain plastic sealed. Some types of goods such as CIEMs and custom cables cannot be returned. The SpinFit CP145 are much like the CP100, but they have a smaller top so they go better inside the ear. The difference is not dramatic in terms of size, but the fit is quite different. The general shape is again ogival, with a height of of 10.1 mm and a with of 13.5 mm. With an inner diameter of 4.5 mm, the CP145 can fit earphones with nozzles up to 5.5/6 mm in diameter: that means that even IEMs with larger soundports, like the Tin HiFi P2, Shanling ME500 Platinum, Fearless Audio S10 Genie or Moondrop A8 will fit correctly, though the silicone will stretch a bit. There are just three sizes: S, M and L.
The CP100 provides an easy fit on an IEM with smaller to medium sized nozzle like 64 Audio’s Universal fit offerings. CP145 Spinfit have been making eartips for a while now, and their claim-to-fame is the name-sake “swivel” mechanism that rotates the top of the inner-stem. This in turn helps to achieve a deeper, more secure seal as the top of the tip (along with the sound-tube) literally bends to get closer to the inner-ear. Soundwise they are also quite close to the CP100, so they have very little impact (if any) on the sound and allow you to hear it as intended by the manufacturer of the earphones. Sound-wise, there is better bass performance than the Comply Foam while the upper treble remains clear. First, one has to select the right diameter of the inner stem so that the SpinFit is being held safely in place. As a rule of thumb, most earphones have a nozzle diameter of 4.5 mm so that the CP145 is the most universal model for initial tip rolling. I don’t hear significant difference when I fit the Sennheiser MTW2 with the CP360. Perhaps it’s because the MTW2 is already quite bass-heavy. The earbuds could not stay flushed on the ears due to the longer ear tips. In general, they offer improved levels of transparency and a linear neutrality compared to other silicone tips. However, their crisp nature does mean that they are a bit leaner when evaluating note size. Thus, they may not be the best choice for already thin and exacting IEMs.
The big difference in most of the models is the size of the bore for the IEM nozzle. Generally you want a tip that’s easy to get on, but not TOO easy to make sure that you have a tight secure fit. The more secure the fit, the better your isolation will be, but if you go with something that’s too snug you’ll risk damaging the eartips when you take them on or off. In terms of sound, there’s not much of a difference with the CP145, though highs tend to be a bit more present (probably due to the material being harder and therefore more prone to reflecting higher frequencies). Among the rest, the CP-360 should be in your stable if you’re into TWS earphones, they are one of the few TWS-specific eartip after all. The CP-500 is a specialist eartip that can be unpredictable, and being the widest-bore tip in Spinfit’s lineup offers something unique. Finally, the CP-240 is something I couldn’t find a use for and the CP-800 didn’t perform as well as the tips it’s supposed to replace (for me). So these two don’t excite me as much. Third-party eartips are one of those things that you end up with a large collection of as you fall deeper into audiophilia. The reason is quite simple: universal earphones (i.e. non-custom IEMs) require fiddling with the tips more often than not. Moreover, eartips are just about the cheapest (and often most reproducible) way of tuning an earphone. So we all end up with boxes of eartips of our own, sooner or later.

The CP145 seem to tame bass a tiny bit to give a small boost to the upper midrange and to treble; mind you, we’re talking about a difference that’s not major and is in fact relatively minute. In other words, you won’t be able to make a warm IEM a neutral one, but you will notice a smaller difference compared to other tips. Overall my sensation is that the CP145 deliver a wider soundstage, probably thanks to the larger presence in the upper area, and more accurate imaging compared to the CP100. They still deliver a generally neutral signature.
