It can also be found in Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and Jakarta but the brand has yet to conquer the biggest and toughest spirits market, the United States of America. Scotland first conquered the world with whisky, then gin, and now it seems our vodkas are set to take the global stage by storm as well. The term single malt does raise the assumption that the spirit is made from whisky but it is actually made 100 per cent from Scottish-grown malted barley. compared with the famous brand Smirnoff, which sells more than 25 million nine-litre cases every year.
