Those used to lightweight trainers will easily be able to take this up to the marathon, although I still think there are better options for that distance. The Adios 6 midsole is a unique blend of the two foams that compose it, Lightstrike and Lightstrike Pro. The Lightstrike is a traditional lightweight, relatively firm EVA, while the Lightstrike Pro is a mysterious super lightweight and responsive foam which is also in the world record breaking Adios Pro 1 & 2 ( RTR Review) and super cushioned Prime X ( RTR Review ). Just get the durable and comfortable Solarglide 4 for easy days. And if you have too much money and don’t know where to spend it, the adizero adios Pro 2 is a good use of cash. The previous model – the Boston 10 – was a brand new product that shared no parts with the Boston 9. The Boston 11 update is a lot more subdued, as this is an upper-only change. The Adios, on the other hand, is more of a daily trainer, but don’t call it slow. After all, it was the shoe of choice of the great champion Haile Gebrselassie.
