About this deal

While many would consider this a bad thing, hot-swappable keyboards typically don’t last as long as soldered keyboards. Coming in a high-quality PBT double-shot plastic design, these are longer-lasting than the usual keycaps that you’ll find on your old crusty Dell keyboard.

The 60% layout was considered a niche outside layout until this keyboard hit the market. So, what about this keyboard is special? PBT Doubleshot Keycaps

The switches should last for at least 100 million keystrokes which is twice the amount of other switch manufacturers. If you want to roll your sleeves up a bit, you can consider lubing the stabilizers to reduce the friction and rattle. A wireless connection would be convenient, however, for portability and using the keyboard when not at your desk. Keyboard: I debated this keyboard for a while, I was using a magic keyboard for work and a decade old Razer with blue switches that I just couldn't stand anymore (so loud). I finally pulled the trigger and I'm super happy about it. The small form factor is incredible; my desk feels more organized and the clean look ties the aesthetic of my work desk together. The feel of these PBT keys is amazing as well - it's like typing on legos. The debounce time refers to how long the keyboard waits before sending another signal. Mechanical keyboards typically have a debounce time of 10ms, but your able to drop it down to 5ms if you choose to do so.If you’re a coder that uses ` a lot (for markdown, etc.), it’ll take a little getting used to hitting the Fn-key every time. Shift+Esc defaults to ~, so it shouldn’t be an issue for POSIX users that will frequently try to “cd ~”. Once you have your replacement mouse skates in hand, it's now time to remove your old ones from the base of the mouse. There are a few different methods to do this, but we’ll cover the main, most reliable method (in our opinion):

You can use the spudger or knife on its own without using the hairdryer, especially if you're unsure of how long to heat the feet up by. This may leave traces of glue on the bottom of the mouse however, which will need to be removed before attaching the new mouse feet. Be careful when using the hairdryer too, as you want to avoid overheating the mouse, which can cause damage to your mouse (plastic melting or warping) and also cause injury to yourself, so proceed with caution. Anyways, gaming via a wireless connection is not always recommended, especially in competitive online games. Before applying the grip tape, it is essential to clean your mouse to remove any dirt or oils that may interfere with the grip tape's adhesion. Use a soft cloth and rubbing alcohol to gently clean the surface of your mouse, taking care not to damage the coating. Make sure to remove all the dirt and oil residues, especially around the edges of your mouse. Cherry MX switches are known for their long lifespan and the tons of rigorous testing they go through.

I really want to love this keyboard but I just don't. Gave it a week or two of use before I swapped it out for another board.
