About this deal

Now, I can't claim to be familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, but I will say that lead actress I enjoyed "Fir Crazy" because it was more than just another sappy and cheesy romantic Christmas movie. So if you enjoy Christmas movies that offers more than just your average girl dislikes boy, but has to work together for a mutual Christmas goal and ends up in love type of movie, then give "Fir Crazy" a chance. It managed to be pretty much all of the above, indicative of me having something of a mixed view on the film (or slightly above that). It is a pleasant watch and does nothing to offend. A lot is done well here. Not much is particularly distinguished at the same time and there is not an awful lot special, so not a "head over heels in love" sort of film. While not doing anything particularly awfully, while there are flaws here other films do them a lot worse.

Now onto the negatives. The story is predictable and has nothing to set it apart, just being your standard Hallmark Christmas film. Some of it felt choppy, some dramatic transitions being abrupt. Too many of the character relationships are rushed and underdeveloped, making changes of heart too out of left field. Not just the central romance, which is particularly standard and could have done with more consistent chemistry too. The tree is a canvas, and the ornaments are the story, each one a reminder of love, laughter, and light.”– Unknown The Christmas tree twinkles with lights and laughter, a beacon of joy and hope in the heart of winter.”– Unknown Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real things in the world are the things we can’t see – The Polar ExpressWook Kim (December 17, 2012). "Yule Laugh, Yule Cry: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Beloved Holiday Songs (With holiday cheer in the air, TIME takes a closer look at some of the weird stories behind our favorite seasonal tunes)". TIME. – "O Tannenbaum" (p. 5) But particularly the Gary's Scrooge-like change of heart, the outcome almost feeling too out of nowhere when you don't really remember the stuff before it. Some of the dialogue can be cheesy and awkward and the ending did strike me as too convenient and too neatly wrapped up.

The modern lyrics were written in 1824 by the Leipzig organist, teacher and composer Ernst Anschütz. A Tannenbaum is a fir tree. The lyrics do not actually refer to Christmas, or describe a decorated Christmas tree. Instead, they refer to the fir's evergreen quality as a symbol of constancy and faithfulness. [1] T.A. Barron:“The Christmas tree, twinkling with lights, had a mountain of gifts piled up beneath it, like offerings at the shrine of some indulgent god.”– From one of T.A. Barron’s works, reflecting the grandeur and generosity symbolized by the Christmas tree. The one thing Elise MacReynolds ( Sarah Lancaster - Christmas in the Smokies) remembers about Christmas as a child was working on the family fir tree farm and driving down to the city at Christmas to sell them on the lot. It is why she doesn't do Christmas and why she doesn't return home to the farm to see her parents as often as she should. But when at Thanksgiving she gets laid off from her marketing job she finds that the only job open to her is to return home to help sell the Christmas trees during the busiest time of the year. She reluctantly agrees and thanks to the return visit to the lot from the handsome Darren ( Eric Johnson - Call Me Mrs. Miracle) Elise even starts to get in to the Christmas spirit. But her troubles are not over as a the new owner of the neighbouring department store is a money grabbing grouch and wants to get rid of the tree lot and so Elise must find a way of stopping the city from shutting the business down. Elise comes across as someone out of her depth as both as a marketing executive and selling trees. It is all a little bit unbelievable. The story is the standard narrative for most of the made for TV movies that I've seen. Girl meets boy, they date, there's some confusion as to whether they should be together and then it ultimately ends up that they do get together as you would expect from any romance, but this is set at Christmas. These quotes reflect the deep emotional and symbolic connections many people have with Christmas trees, emphasizing themes of love, family, generosity, and the enchanting atmosphere of the holiday season. Sarah Lancaster has a nice smile that she showed off plenty, but beyond that, she wasn't charismatic or energetic. Eric Johnson did the best he could with the screen time he had.

Marjorie Holmes: “At Christmas, all roads lead home.”– Holmes often wrote about the warmth and comfort of home during Christmas, symbolized by the Christmas tree. This is a wonderful, fast paced holiday film. The story of Elise is cute, charming, and sprinkled with holiday cheer. As Elise finds her way into the Christmas Spirit, the joy she shares with others has an infectious ripple effect that becomes her saving grace. Rev. C. V. Waugh". Alachua County Library District Heritage Collection. Archived from the original on 19 July 2011 . Retrieved 12 February 2008. Under the Christmas tree is not just where you find presents, but where you find the warmth of family and friends.”– Unknown Let the spirit of Christmas fill your heart as the lights on the tree fill the room with a soft, gentle glow.”– Unknown Here are some of our long time favourite Christmas tree sayings, which perfectly encapsulate the idea of Christmas. They reflect the deep emotional and symbolic connections many people have with Christmas trees, emphasizing themes of love, family, generosity, and the enchanting atmosphere of the holiday season.
