About this deal

Ares - God of War. Ares puts a curse on Percy which would cause Percy's sword to fail him when he will need it the most at the end of The Lightning Thief. This curse takes effect at the end of The Titan's Curse when Percy battles Atlas on Mt. Tam.

Dr. Thorn - A manticore who works for Kronos. He has a French accent and has heterochromia (his eyes have different colors). Grover Underwood - A large-hearted satyr, whose favorite foods include aluminum cans and cheese enchiladas. He wants to look for Pan, the satyr god of nature and the wild, who fell into a deep sleep due to the humans' pollution of his domain. I totally agree with Thalia btw! *lol* I loved that Apollo was a recurring part of this book and I can’t wait to read his series! He seems to be such a fun guy and I was more than just intrigued by his character. <3 Artemis and her Hunters were a great addition to the cast as well, and the Di Angelo twins? I think we’ll read more about them in future books! ;-) I’m really looking forward to this because I already like little Nico and took him to my heart! The true star of this story is Bessie the cow serpent though and if you don’t know who that is you better read the book and find out! *lol* I had small issues with this book that brought down my rating a little. Firstly, this one definitely suffers from middle child syndrome. By this point in the series we know the stakes. We know that Percy's going to end up on an adventure that takes him outside Camp Halfblood, and we know that the end goal is seeing him reach his 16th birthday when prophecies abound.Haha! Is it just me or is there actually no god he didn’t challenge already? XD No matter which goddess or god appears, Percy seems to be ready to fight them all and I love it! ;-P I think by now he’s so pissed that he just doesn’t care anymore. At this point he might even take them on for just looking at him the wrong way. *lol* I can’t help but wonder what this means for the next two books and I’m so ready to read “The Battle of the Labyrinth”!!! Next one, please! XD Zoë Nightshade - The Lieutenant of the Hunters. Poisoned from a bite from the dragon, Ladon, and is dealt with the killing blow by her father, Atlas.

One of those spikes finds its way into Percy’s shoulder. While he slowly succumbs to the poison, he gets the pleasure of hearing Thorn gloat about the Great Stirring, a massive uprising of deadly monsters. There’s even one powerful enough to bring down Olympus itself. The Titan's Curse is the only book in which a date is paired up with the day of the week (December 21, 2007 was a Friday). Zeus | Hera | Poseidon | Demeter | Ares | Athena | Apollo | Artemis | Hephaestus | Aphrodite | Hermes | Dionysus | Hades | Hestia Dionysus - God of wine, disgruntled director of Camp Half-Blood. He intentionally never gets anyone's name correct. Finding demigods and bringing them to Camp Half-Blood is more a satyr thing than a demigod thing. But Percy, Annabeth, and Thalia Grace—recently recovered from her years as a pine tree thanks to the Golden Fleece—don’t hesitate to travel to Bar Harbor, Maine, when Grover calls for help. He’s found two demigods in one place: Nico di Angelo and his older sister, Bianca, both students at Westover Hall. He needs assistance because the vice principal is a real monster—specifically, a manticore, with a fast-action tail that shoots poison spikes. Percy, Annabeth, Thalia, and Artemis travel to Mount Olympus to attend the gods’ winter solstice meeting, Artemis convincing the Olympians of the Titans’ threat. Bessie is kept on Olympus for safekeeping. Thalia joins the Hunters to forestall the Great Prophecy, in which a child of either Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades could be used to bring victory for Kronos. Percy learns from Poseidon that Luke is alive. Upon returning to Camp Half-Blood, Percy informs Nico of Bianca's demise. A distraught Nico blames Percy, revealing he is a son of Hades when he banishes the spartoi to the Underworld, before fleeing. Percy tells Annabeth and Grover of Nico's lineage, the trio promising to keep it a secret, fearful that Nico will be the subject of the Great Prophecy.

It is possible they are mercenaries more broadly working for Triumvirate Holdings. In The Hidden Oracle it is revealed Triumvirate Holdings funded the Second Titan War, and in The Burning Maze it is revealed they too have many mortal mercenaries working for them.

Retailers:

This morning, while waiting with Celyn at her hospital appointment I told her I was going to write a review of the book I finished reading to her the night before and asked her if it deserved 5*. She said it did. So 5* it is.

This moment was so great because it showed how much those characters love and care about each other even if they occasionally get on each other’s nerves. *lol* It made me sad that Annabeth wasn’t a big part of this story but considering the main plot it was okay that she only played a minor role. Let’s just hope she’ll play a bigger part in “The Battle of the Labyrinth” again. =) And last but not least I want to say how much I love Percy! XD Chiron - A centaur that is immortal for as long as he is needed to teach heroes, trainer of demigods, assistant director of Camp Half Blood. Chiron is a son of Kronos. Chiron almost dies in a myth. En una desesperada misión contra el tiempo, un grupo de valerosos semidioses emprende su camino para rescatar a su amiga perdida. and they continued talking but I just had to stop reading for a moment because I was laughing so hard. Thankfully, I didn't read that scene in public otherwise I might got funny looks from my friends or anyone but I kind of thought that Grover was kind of strange, you know. why would he camp outside the Artemis cabin? and the reason was just that he wanted to be near them? LOL. Grover is so funny, I like him so much.

Apollo - God of the Sun, Archery, and Prophecy. He drives a sun vehicle that, usually is in the form of a Maserati Spyder, can change with the push of a button. Apollo had recently traveled to Japan, and creates terrible haikus often. Nemean Lion - The lion that Hercules slayed as one of his tasks. Once slain, its pelt becomes a coat protecting the wearer from harm. They go to see Annabeth's father, Dr. Chase, to ask for help. Percy notes that the Chase home is one that 'looks like it had been lived in forever.' Dr. Chase lends them his car, and before they leave, Percy makes a promise to Mrs. Chase to tell Annabeth that she still had a home there. As they drive up the mountain, the car explodes due to a lightning bolt that Kronos threw to make Thalia angry at her father. Did I ever tell you how I love the writing style of this series?? The writing style is SO good! It's really funny and the writing style is the first reason I enjoy reading this book. Like how could the author write this perfection?? Seriously, the writing style is so perfect.
