About this deal

All in all, it’s a compliment getter that can be worn in just about any season and most occasions. I would even wear it to the office, but with just a couple of sprays. It’s not offensive or cloying, but a little will go a long way in that type of environment. It’s got great staying power, as good as any. Disregard claims that it doesn’t last…must have gone “nose-blind”. Update review it hasn't changed from the last review I posted on 12/09/18, my nose still detect the lavender, vanilla and Tonka bean which dominates from start to finish. I used to have Le Male only for a few days but I gifted to my Pastor's son, so I missed the Le Male DNA scent and grab the Prada Luna Rossa Sport, to my nose is similar to Le Male but to me Prada Luna Rossa Sport is a tad better than Le Male just my two scent. Is still a good release from Prada and is a must have if you don't own Le Male. In Le Male the vanilla is very prominent, which makes the fragrance very sweet and more suited for the fall/winter. In PLRS the lavender is the main note to my nose. Luna Rossa Sport also smells very spicy, even though ginger is the only spice listed. It has a smoothness and magnetism that will get others attention. Once it has completed its passage from beginning to end, the vanilla is intense. If you are not a fan of powdery vanilla, it might be a bit much.

The opening is a burst of spicy freshness which is very appealing and noticeable. The combination of juniper and ginger is well done. As it begins to settle in, the next 30-45 minutes are it’s finest moments. That lavender seeping in combined with the spiciness is just killer the way it’s done. In terms of performance I use 8 sprays and I would say projection is about 1-1.5 hours while longevity is no more than 6-7 hours. This gets compared to JPG Le Male and this is probably due to the notes. The scents however are very far apart. This comparison, together with the Reflection Man and Le Male comparison truly baffles me. People read something, instantly believe it and blabber it on, creating a myth. Fragrances should be tested side by side. They should not be judged by notes. Being different by smelling odd or even unappealing does not mean it's good or that people will find you mysterious or enigmatic, they will simply think you smell weird or odd and assume you are nose blind and don't realise you smell strange.LM comes across as a younger, louder clubbing fragrance, for the younger user but LR Sport to me is more mature and refined with lots to offer and nothing to prove.

Update- I own the entire Luna Rossa line now, and not only is this one my favorite, it’s in my top 5 favorite fragrances. I didn’t like the sweet vanilla-ish vibe at first, only because I was expecting something more fresh/citrus, being called “sport” and all. I’m reality, this scent IMO blends everything I LOVE about the Luna Rossa line and puts it all into one scent. I literally can spray this for any occasion, anytime, anywhere, it just works. All the other frags in my top 5 tend to have a very specific time and place for when they’re appropriate to wear, and this is easily the most versatile. It’s clean, crisp, but warm and cozy, and it’s just very uplifting and happy scent for me. Longevity is good, projection is good as well, it’s not loud and in your face but not subtle and disappearing either. Perfection!! I've always liked the smell of Le Male on others, but there was always something about it that kept me from wearing it, something sharp and green (maybe the mint, but it didn't seem like mint). So when I first smelled this I dismissed it as a copy and assumed that I wouldn't like it. I'm a big fan of Prada's house. When this came out in 2015 I tested it on strip and dismissed it. I thought to myself "Daniela Andrier, why would you go in this direction?". It seemed incredibly basic and generic and to me it didn't have the clean DNA that the Amber and L'homme line had. Still each to his or her own I suppose and if you're spraying this on your body then your nose is the only nose that matters, unless you're only after compliments from others of course. I really like this, it's fresh yet fairly sophisticated , fairly soft and not harsh or too youthful.

In short this is very simple and linear soapy fragrance that is only suitable for settings that you would not like to offend anyone. For 2 months of heavy daily usage I have received no compliments, so do not necessarily trust those who say this is a panty dropper. It is not. This does not mean you will not smell good - it is just a very safe clean scent that would not make a lasting impression.

Recently I been into layering fragrances and I use this one as a vanilla base for other fragrances. Say example I hate the smell of Cool water Intense due to coconut smell as it reminds me of grocery shop so tried mixing these both in a decant and its was good. Now I get Cool Water with Vanilla and hint of lavender. ;) PRADA LUNA ROSSA SPORT was created by perfumer Daniela (Roche) Andrier who created numerous Prada editions, fragrances of the La Gemme collection by Bvlgari as well as the latest tea fragrance Eau Parfumee au The Bleu, fragrances by Marni, Bottega Veneta, etc. The perfume opens with tart-citrusy ginger blended with aromatic flavors of juniper berries. The heart of the fragrance is enriched with lavender, while the base is warmed with vanilla and tonka. Upon first blush, anyone who owns or likes JPG Le Male will have an “Aha” moment with this fragrance. Oh and another thing, if something is 'mass apealing' or a 'crowd pleaser' then may I suggest that is a good thing? It's mass appealing because it appeals to a lot of people...because it smells nice....and that's bad because........? Initially, I wasn't too impressed by the performance of the fragrance, but believe me, you can become blind to the fragrance and it's still there. I get 7-8 hours in longevity. Not as The soapy lavender is subtly, sophisticated, and mature with a strong touch of masculinity. Great as a day scent, out of the shower because it's not overpowering in any way, and good for an office/work environment. You can wear this as an all-year rounder, but personally not in the summer. If so, go easy on the sprays. And at no point during this wearing has the fragrance smelled bad- from opening to dry down, the scent is perfectly pleasant. To my nose it is Le Male to all the individual that posted here, but I prefer this to Le Male it has the Le Male DNA Prada has expanded their collection Luna Rossa with a new fragrance for men, PRADA LUNA ROSSA SPORT arriving after Luna Rosa from 2012, Luna Rossa 34th America's Cup Limited Edition from 2013 and Luna Rossa Extreme from 2013. The new fragrance Prada Luna Rossa Sport arrives in the same flacon as previous editions, in attractive red glass combined with a smooth silver metallic part and represents a combination of sports style and superior sailing technique. The smart use of texture and contrast of the red and metallic silver colors makes the new fragrance Prada Luna Rossa Sport more prominent, attractive, modern and different from the rest of the line.
