About this deal

Meghan can be found listening to inspiring, heart rippng music, with her head buried in her Kindle, or typing on her computer, turning and twisting the lives of her characters as she drives her readers crazy with anticipation. I really enjoyed Lilly's journey through becoming a royal and learning more about her family and history of her country. Her sass gots me every time but her emotions felt like they were everywhere throughout this book. Keller on the other hand is his same old self grumpy and stubborn with a huge soft spot for Lilly. Lilly lost her parents at 17 to tragedy now ten years later she’s running her own bikini wagon and conducting wet t-shirt contests on the beaches of Miami enjoying her life. Keller has been charged to find the only remaining heir left to take over the throne for King Theo. You probably guessed that Lilly is that only remaining heir and now Keller has to turn this fun loving, bad word slinging American, into a Princess fit to take the throne.

The spice in this book was extremely well done with characters who were into the BDSM life. The tension building is beautifully done and this book made it easy for me to say that I would like to read more from Meghan Quinn in the future. Royally Not Ready Book Review You know a book is great when you run out of the “OMG hot” and “that made me laugh” tabs. And this was the first book I officially fully annotated!! I wish y’all could see it! Keller and Lilly's chemistry and connection didn't feel like it was there like it was for the previous book until the last 20%. This took me far too long to get into, and I do put some of the blame on my previous book for leaving me with a hangover. It may have kept me from enjoying this more, but I'm not entirely sure. This isn't a typical MQ book making you laugh out loud and having so much fun, and I will still give her other books a try.Lilly drove Keller nuts. I want to say in the best of ways, but she also drove me nuts. I’m not complaining that much because even when I was empathizing with Keller’s annoyance, I was laughing at it. Lilly knew just what to do to push his buttons in all the wrong and right ways. These two had insane chemistry. It kept ramping up the entire first half of the book. I couldn’t wait to see the explosion and it was everything I wanted it to be. I loved how Keller and Lilly got to know each other on a deeply emotional level and the connection they made. They were a great mix of sweet and passionate. That's why I find myself in the throes of wedding planning, pre-wedding classes with my broody, over-protective fiancé, and counting down the days until we can finally say I do. I grew to love this couple. I loved how they both changed for one another in subtle and not so subtle ways. Lilly, most noticeably, changes into someone fit for a crown and to be the head of a country. I also love a good grovel and Keller was very very good at it. The setting for this Royally Not Ready was also done well. Meghan Quinn is fantastic at world building taking us from the beaches of Miami to a Nordic island that has beautiful scenery. It was easy to imagine what was happening to the landscape surrounding the characters. In this post I am doing a Royally Not Ready book review. This is the first book I’ve read by Meghan Quinn and after almost a full month of non stop dark romance I figured I needed a light hearted break with a Rom Com. This book was exactly what I needed.

Of course, I didn't follow him. I might be up for a good time, but I'm also educated enough to know leaving with a stranger isn't smart. Well, that's until he mentioned my mom's name. My mom who passed away several years ago. stars equals a great book. I might buy an ebook version when it’s on sale so that I can re-read it at least one more time. So....I hated 80% of this book. The 20% I liked didn't justify me giving it any higher than 2 stars, but also some parts were so good I didn't think it deserved the 1 star I wanted to give it. Samantha Brentmoor was incredible and John Hartley absolutely smashed it once again. I usually struggle with audiobooks being ADHD, but the dual POV & voiced character dialogue really helped me stay focused and engaged. Royally not ready had three main tropes for me, Royal Romance, Enemies to Lovers and Grumpy/Sunshine. I think Grumpy/Sunshine was the predominant trope for me and I was happy that was the case. Keller was very prim and proper, just as you would expect an employee of a royal family to be; but don't let that fool you. Keller has a naughty side that certainly fulfilled the steam factor for this book. After my not so great feelings after the last story I read from this author (I'm looking at you A Not So Meet Cute)... I went into this book with a bit of trepidation. Would I like it? Would this be the end, at least for awhile, of my relationship with this author? Royal romances are always fun to read so I was excited to get to Meghan Quinn's newest book, Royally Not Ready. When you think of a royal, Lilly Campbell might be the last person to cross your mind. She lives in works in Miami Florida and has that party girl lifestyle. But after finding out she is the last heir to the throne of a small country, she has a lot of choices to make.
