About this deal

You can combine 5L (30m²) and 2.5L (15m²) for areas which are not multiples of 30m² in size and more than one coat is required. For example, to cover 45m² with 2 coats use 1 x 5L and 1 x 2.5L for the first coat and same again for the second. If you have any questions please let us know. Before application it is important to make sure that all areas are clean, sound, dry & free from surface contamination. All oils and grease should be removed with a suitable degreasing solution. Any laitance on concrete should be removed by blasting, acid etching or other suitable mechanical methods. Hard smooth power-floated concrete floors should be acid etched or mechanically abraded. Care should be taken on previously painted floors to make sure that the original coatings are sound, as the epoxy will 'tighten-up' during curing, exposing areas of the original floor coating which have poor adhesion - mechanically abrading all areas is recommended to reduce this risk. Epoxy floor paints are suitable for a thoroughly sanded primed surface and also can be applied directly on an unprepared coating. However, experts recommend pre-cleaning, degreasing, and drying the top layer. Careful preparation is essential to ensure good adhesion to smooth materials such as metal or plastic. Anti slip epoxy floor coating is in excellent demand being also known as one of the most robust and durable paint products. It is a set of two parts – a colourant and a hardener, which you can comfortably mix to obtain the desired consistency. Thus, epoxy floor paint is a practical solution for painting large areas of commercial and industrial premises. The formulation is easy to apply and further use. Everyone can paint the surface with epoxy floor paint without specialised skills, getting an even multifunctional coating with many functional properties. Feel free to use the brush, roller, or spray to cope with the task effortlessly. Thank you for your interest in our product. I do believe the coating would be a good option for a decorative finish. Once fully cured there is unlikely to be any problem with water spilt on the surface, though standing/pooling water could cause the surface to discolour. To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. Of all of the mistakes, this is the most difficult one to fix. If you have applied one of the components, then applying the other one over the top, or trying to mix it on the surface won’t fix it. The whole thing would have to come up and start again. So you really need to make sure you get this part right the first time! Two coats of Resincoat HB Epoxy Garage Floor Paint can provide the equivalent of ten coats of conventional coatings containing solvent or water based epoxy products. Our floor paint is the perfect choice for your garage or car service centre as it is oil tolerant as well as being resistant to any other automotive fluid that would ruin standard paints. Our Epoxy Garage Floor Paint is the number one choice for concrete floor paints in the UK as it protects and seals whilst offering an attractive, decorative, professional finish. This product is part of the Resincoat High Build Epoxy Range, heavy-duty, solvent free epoxy floor coatings, possessing exceptional abrasion and chemical resistance. We proudly manufacture all our resin products and floor paints in the UK, guaranteeing the highest quality finish. Buy in confidence from Resincoat an ISO 9001 accredited company. All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants. Concrete - power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be roughened first to provide a good "key" for the paint. This can be done mechanically by abrading or blasting, or chemically using Coo-Var Acid Etch. These processes will have the advantage in addition to preparing the surface of also removing dirt and laitance. Applying to very weak, crumbly or contaminated concrete since it may not be possible to prepare it well enough for the Epoxy Floor Paint to perform.

New concrete should be at least 2 months old and always washed with floorsaver Floor Etcher to reduce alkalinity and to remove any weak, loose cement deposits. Old paint finishes should be removed if flaking at all and the surface should be sanded to create a texture (also known as a mechanical key) prior to applying Resincoat HB Epoxy Garage Floor Paint. When preparing for a floor coat, doing so mechanically (shot-blasting or grinding) is always advisable for best results, but if that is not possible then sanding the area or our Etch and Clean is a good alternative. After the surface has been completely abraded, thoroughly sweep and vacuum the area of any remaining dust or contaminants. For more information on preparation, please see technical data sheet.

Epoxy Resin Floor Paint Overview

This can be from either not getting the work done fast enough or from not stirring the product intermittently when applying.

If the floor is still damp as a result of cleaning, it's not a problem since this is a water based epoxy. However, don't put it onto floors where there is rising damp. After the products are mixed, and the chemical reaction has started, sometimes an exothermic reaction happens and the paint gets hot. But don’t worry, that’s perfectly normal. As long as the mixing itself was done slowly it’s all fine. Wash equipment in warm soapy water before it dries, but it's probably more practical to just throw the rollers away. Give a good stir with something wide, like a wooden batten or a paint stirrer. If you use an electric paint mixer, also scrape around the sides and bottom of the tin to make sure it's all mixed in.If the specified induction time is not followed then it can lead to further issues, such as: a lower gloss level, yellowing, blushing, colour variation and more. Common mistakes: Q: I’ve levelled my floor with Arden k301 which I chose because it is suitable for overpainting with resin paint. This product should NOT be split. Taking smaller quantities from each tin, even if measured correctly, may cause issues with activating. To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.
