The awning is constructed using a square steel torsion bar, adding structural stability, and then there’s an aluminium roller to extend the awning itself. The awning is extended by using a hooked rod, and winding it to push out the canopy. The winding mechanism is solid and smooth which makes it easy to open and close. Choosing the right fabric is another important part of selecting an awning, both in terms of style and comfort. Three types of materials are commonly used.
