Let your elf leave a message for the kids every morning. Just hang him up by the mirror and tell them what they need to hear. This is a great way to count down the days till Christmas and it gives your elf something to do. What’s that in the sky? It’s a bird..it’s a plane…it’s Super Elf! Just add a cape and he’s ready to save the world. He’ll make short work of cleaning up your city! Or over the stair rail in this case. A Tupperware lid and your Elf on the Shelf make the perfect sledding decorating for the staircase. Watch him glide down those stairs like a master sledder! I don't recommend mixing these noodles with your fingers but I do think you should keep the serving size small. This is quite the dose of sugar so make sure kids have access to a large room without any breakables after eating! My kids could only handle a few bites, so serve it up with Elf Christmas decorations and a big glass of milk! They’re also exposed to new ideas and concepts that they can explore further on their own. Reading aloud to kids is a great way to foster their love of learning and set them up for success in school and beyond.

He’ll look great sitting next to some of these amazing Christmas crafts, or maybe even munching on one of these delicious Christmas tree cupcakes. However you normally decorate your home for the Holidays, this little guy should definitely take part in your overall decor, and this list has some of the most unique, and adorable, ways to display him. This year I decided to have some extra fun with our decorations and try and replicate the famous, over-the-top decorations from the movie. Your elf has been naughty, and the Lego people aren’t going to stand for it! Let those Lego baddies tie down your elf. This is a great idea for all you Star Wars lovers, especially if you have Star Wars Legos. The force may not be with the Elf on the Shelf after all. Everybody wants to run away to the circus and your elf is no exception. Give him a candy cane and watch him keep up with the best trapeze artists!

Older kids will love them, too! More Buddy The Elf Fun Start your party off with fun party games with an Elf theme. Such as Elf Charades from Mom & Munchkins.

My daughter made these for me. It did cross my mind that I should cut them out on my Cricut machine but in the end, I decided my handy dandy old-fashion paper cutter would be more efficient. So each link measures 1 inch in width and 5 1/2 inches in length. Your 8.5″ x 11″ computer paper should be vertical and then cut your strips. Next, we made our chains and just used a small piece of tape to secure the links together. Make them as long as you need them to be. How to make intricate paper snowflakes, paper chains, and paper chain snowmen

Everyone loves to smile! Smiling is certainly Buddy’s favorite thing to do. With that said, so are crafts themed around elves. I love this white leaf garland and I feel the haphazardness of draping them adds to the fun. You can find this tutorial here. You know you love Elf with Will Ferrell. Maybe your little elf buddy does, too. Set him up with the DVD, and maybe add a pizza box or Buddy the Elf’s favorite spaghetti to show just how much he’s enjoying the movie. Reading aloud to kids is one of the best things you can do for their development. It can help them develop essential language skills, including vocabulary, grammar, and listening comprehension.

As a little girl, we had these old fashion lights. I spied strings of them in the Elf movie, so I decided early on that I would decorate with them. I happened to have some extra strings of outdoor lights, and I bought the ceramic white bulbs and just changed them out with the new ones. If you don’t have a white cord, then here is the link to a string of them. Set him up with the Nativity characters, or other little dolls and such, and a mini basketball goal. Shooting the hoops on Christmas Eve definitely equals fun! Elf loves basketball – but he’s really great at playing shortstop on the baseball team. Pay homage to the Christmas Story by recreating the scene with the leg lamp. If you can’t find a mini leg lamp, you can use a Barbie leg to make one yourself. They’re also great decorations for interfaith familiescelebrating both Christmas and Hanukkah because they’re so neutral and are similar to the Hanukkah palette (minus the blue).

How to Create Easy Elf Movie Decorations

You see, every year when I start decorating our home for the holidays, my husband calls me Buddy the Elf. One year, I decorated our living room with some paper book leaf garlands, and last year I decorated our mantel with a paper leaf garland. If you look closely, you can see it on my entertainment center at the top. And the final piece of Elf Decor for our movie party table is this custom Buddy the Elf confetti from my friend Brenda at Festive Fetti! How fun is this!? I used it to sprinkle up and down the table runner on either side of the centerpiece. Ready for a Christmas Movie Night Buddy the Elf Stand Up
