About this deal

Enjoy over 90 minutes of video fun with favourite friends in this lively collection of programmes featuring a selection of some of the best of British Animation. This deeply funny, sweet show follows Dipper and Mabel – children who are spending summer in the paranormal-incident-bedevilled town of the title. In each episode they grapple with spooky phenomena, while dealing with the usual 12-year-old troubles. Destined to be a classic. Scheherryzade and the Arabian Nights-1991 >''*Sesame Street 123: A Counting Book from 1 to 100-1991 John Alderton as Fireman Sam, Elvis Cridlington, Station Officer Steele, Penny Morris, Sarah and James, Norman Price, Dilys' Price, Bentley the Robot and Narrator Animators: Scott Collie, John de Klein, Denis Gonzalez, Bradley Goodchild, Mark Komza, Eva Smith, Justin Wang, Greg Court, Scott Glynn, Melanie Allen, Alan Knappett, Lynn Reist, Mike Tweedle and Jean Pilotte.

CBBC’s school sitcom is a masterclass in teenage behaviour. Laugh and cringe as neurotic Lily, upbeat Jas and scientific soulmates Martha and Ollie overcome ultra-relatable trials of adolescence over six series that only get better. It even spawned a university spinoff. The tale of a teddy bear who was rejected at the toy factory and brought to life by alien Spotty using cosmic dust. Whenever there’s trouble, Superted just said his secret magic word and transformed into a superhero, ready to fight the villains Texas Pete, Skeleton and Bulk. I’ve heard Superted is being remade. It will be interesting to see how it will be changed as a result. The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin Simple Science Experiments with Elmo & Friends: Water & Earth-2012 //Sing Along with Elmo-2012//*Snowy Day-2012 Hey Duggee follows the adventures of the four members of the Squirrel Club, and their scoutmaster Duggee, a big dog. The Squirrels have to learn a new skill in each episode and receive a badge for doing so at the end. I love the little touches of humour that make it quite funny from an adult perspective too.Noddy is proving himself to be a real friend in NODDY AND THE BROKEN BICYCLE and Pingu and his little sister Pinga are behaving very badly indeed in PINGU AND PINGA AT HOME. Those Funnybones skeletons, Little and Big, are trying to swap Dog for a better pet in THE PET SHOP and little Katie gets the best birthday present in the world in POSTMAN PAT'S FINDING DAY. Current The Muppets have been entertaining families for generations, and they are the only act featured here to land a Number 1 album. In 1977, The Muppet Show dethroned The Beatles and spawned the Top 10 hit Halfway Down The Stairs. After a 32-year absence, Kermit, Miss Piggy and co. returned to the Top 40 in 2009, teaming with Queen for a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. Related artists

Favourite Nursery Rhymes - Bow Wow Wow Says the Dog, The Wheels on the Bus and A Frog he Would a Wooing Go My girls love the adventures of Nelly and her little sister Nora on a caravan park. The programme focuses on different types of weather (Nelly and Nora’s clothes change to reflect the weather in each episode). I think a lot of the appeal of this programme for my girls is that they can see their own sibling relationship reflected in the relationship between Nelly and Nora. Jessica will often tell me that she is like Nelly and Sophie is like Nora. At last, all of your friends from Children's Television together on one video with 10 GREAT ADVENTURES! Let's see what they're all doing... Forget Blue Peter. The height of ambition for every 1980s child was undoubtedly inclusion in Tony Hart’s gallery, which was the centrepoint of this superb art instruction show (available on YouTube). Not only that, it introduced claymation superstar Morph to the world. All of the best loved BBC characters on one bumper length video. 8 of television's most popular children's characters including Noddy, Pingu, Postman Pat, Fireman Sam and Joshua Jones plus the new Tales of the Tooth Fairies. It’s a wry, lo-fi delight, unfailingly soothing and smile-inducing. For an introduction to British comedy, few shows can surpass Aardman’s paramount pairing: the optimistic cheese-loving inventor and his eye-rolling beagle. It’s 34 years since A Grand Day Out, but their adventures are as fresh and charming as ever.

This is the only BBC Children's Favourites VHS to include Joshua Jones and Tales of the Tooth Fairies. Colin Fox as the Professor, Stephanie Morgenstern as Tiger Lily and Wayne Robson as the Sage of Um. Do you remember any of the TV programmes I loved as a child? What are your childhood TV favourites? Before they created the wonderful sitcom Ghosts, an extraordinary raft of talented writers and performers adapted Terry Deary’s popular history books – and ended up making the best sketch series since The Fast Show.

Presenting the day’s news in a child-friendly, never patronising way, the bulletin show – which started as John Craven’s Newsround in 1972 – still delivers. It’s even broken stories, including the loss of the Space Shuttle Challenger in 1986. The programme played requests from children of all ages. For the first 11 years of its run, the programme was introduced by Derek McCulloch, known as Uncle Mac. McCulloch's grandfatherly tone was quintessentially 'old-school' BBC. [2] His opening words "Hello children, everywhere!", his catch-phrase was a modification of his much earlier closing words "Goodnight children, everywhere" on Children's Hour. [3] This era-defining show has broken numerous longest-running TV records since its 1989 debut. The first 10 or 12 seasons hail from a brilliant golden age of US TV: empathetic, funny, exciting and clever all at the same time, with characters that are relatable, inspiring and hilarious. In February 1968, Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart took over from Crowther and was the host for eleven years, attracting more than 17million listeners. The style became less cosy and less reverent. As tastes changed, new favourites were added; pop records, as opposed to records specifically for children, were requested more frequently as the 1970s progressed. [ citation needed] Among the records frequently played were "A Windmill in Old Amsterdam" by Ronnie Hilton, " Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh" by Allan Sherman and "My Brother" by Terry Scott. The show was peppered with catch-phrase jingles such as "'Ello Darlin'", recorded by an unknown patient at a hospital in Billericay and " Happy Birthday to You" sung by an eight-year-old boy from a football club in Crosskeys, on the team coach after the match. The Ello Darlin jingle was featured until Stewart's last show in 2015, although Rice did revive it on the 2020 and 2021 Christmas editions. [8]
