If you’re looking for a book about platonic friendship, you should read this. Frances and Aled have the best-written, most compelling friendship. And I love that every single driving relationship in this book is either platonic or queer. Like, guys, this is incredible. This book invented mlm and wlw solidarity and also platonic love. I just love the characters, especially Frances' mom. She's the best. And even though you won't like the evil Mom-next-door, she's someone you'll recognise from your non-book life. So she throws away the number immediately. Then when she DOES see something, she doesn't have the number to call the girl. Then she decides not to tell her anyway. Yeah, stupid. Alice Oseman was born in Chatham, Kent and grew up in a village near Rochester, Kent with her younger brother, William, and attended Rochester Grammar School. Aled decides to restart Universe City. The book ends with Aled performing Universe City live at Live!Video. This has just become one of my favourite books. I do think that I liked Radio Silence a little bit better, but man this is right next to it. I just loved this book so much.
