About this deal

Turtle Beach has stormed into this luxury space with a fantastic audio quality that doesn't compromise on features or additional extras. Turtle Beach Stealth Pro review A new firmware update is ready for your Stealth 700 Gen 2 for PlayStation ®! Connect your headset to the Turtle Beach Audio Hub program on your PC or Mac to update your device’s firmware to version (v.2.0.6).

The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX has 50mm dynamic drivers and sounds pretty good for a gaming headset, although it deviates from our in-house target in a few areas. Just like the headset’s predecessor, there’s a pronounced drop-off in bass and lower mid-range sounds, which can make music sound a little different from your typical consumer headphone, and very different from a typical gaming headset. Highs, mids, and lows Their size doesn't hurt, of course. These earbuds sit very firmly in place no matter how much you shake your head and the tiny microphone is reliable, too. It performed better in games like Tony Hawk, where you’re primarily listening for the music. Again, the headset is not going to replicate “Superman” and “Guerilla Radio” as well as a pair of nice wireless headphones, but you aren’t going to miss out on anything. It’s less convenient if you also plan to use the headset with a PC. Technically the Stealth 600 Gen 2 can pair with a Windows PC, but only if you plug in an Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10. Pairing with the adapter is also easy, but it would be nice if there were some way to use the Stealth 600 Gen 2 with a gaming PC out of the box. The integrated flip-to-mute microphone is effective, if unspectacular, and the compact design is relatively comfortable throughout lengthy play sessions. Some may long for headier bass, and a more dynamic mid-range, but the truth is for the price it's difficult to find all that much to complain about. The Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX is a solid alternative to other mid-range headsets out there, with its long battery life and console compatibility helping to push it over the edge.

Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 – GamingThe Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 delivers good, but not outstanding sound. In testing with games like Marvel’s Avengers, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remake, Streets of Rage 4, Mortal Kombat 11, and more, the audio was accurate and clean, but didn't always convey the little details of a game’s sound design. Low tones, like explosions or a booming “Finish Him,” come in hard, but the “thud” of the bass doesn’t sound as crisp as it could. That awkwardness is only momentary, though. The earcups in the Gen 2 are larger than the original Stealth 600, which makes them much more comfortable – the originals boxed in my ears a bit. According to Turtle Beach, the cups are “D”-shaped, so they contour to your ear: If you pay close attention, you can feel the sides of the earcups sort of hug your ears around the edges. I wouldn’t necessarily say that makes them more comfortable or uncomfortable, though it does help the headset stay in place on your head at all times.

The Turtle Beach Audio Hub mobile app for iOS and Android has received an update to 3.14.8 (201) for iOS and 3.14.8 (232) for Android. The Turtle Beach Audio Hub V2 desktop app has received an update to v3.14.6.84 (PC) and v3.14.6.83 (Mac). The key highlight of the unboxing was the USB dongle, which now has a switch for alternating between “Xbox” and “USB.” Obviously, the Xbox toggle is for compatibility with Microsoft’s line of consoles, while USB is for everything else, including PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Support for all major platforms is a big achievement and one of the standout features of the MAX version.

Connect your headset to the Turtle Beach Audio Hub program to update your device’s firmware to version (v.2.0.1).I normally plug my wireless headset in to charge each night, but when testing the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX, I left it unplugged to test the claimed 48-hour battery life. I have to say, Turtle Beach isn’t lying with its longevity promise. This thing goes and goes and goes. Lag-Free Wireless – Our proprietary low-latency, lossless 2.4 GHz wireless connection optimizes gaming audio & chat in real-time for a lag-free gameplay advantage Testing between an Xbox Series X, PS5, and PC went flawlessly. Both game and voice chat worked perfectly, with very little tweaking required for audio levels between systems. My teammates reported that I could be heard just fine in competitive titles like Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone and the mic’s quality is perfectly passable for these applications. Solid out-of-the-box sound with potential to tweak
