About this deal

This section is about groups that once existed but no longer do due to death, separation or changes. Well I try to avoid writing characters that are hard to do, and I find that they are, I just kill ‘em! I literally yelled "OH NASTY!" at that part, it was so revolting. And yet I loved every second of it. :)

The Fifth book in the series and along with The Sacrifice the fourth chronologically. It was released on 12th September, 2013. It follows three main plot lines with with a few chapters following other characters; Godzilla - A puppy that belonged to Joel. After Joel's death. he was adopted by the rest of the Holloway crew. Charlie Higson is the master-mind behind the bestselling Young Bond series of novels for young adults which have made him a household name among teen book lovers, however, what could be argued to be his greater body of work is The Enemy series for its expertly written blend of horror and action.I highly recommend this to those who loves Michael Grant's GONE novels. Both book shares the same elements such as big casts, in-your-face non-stop actions, kids going against each other, alternating perspectives, fast pacings etc. It's fun literature at its best. It’s also AWESOME. And that’s not even the best bit. That comes later and eeerrrrrrgrgrghhhh it’s brilliant. Freak – A boy in the Waitrose group. He is Deke's best friend and, before the epidemic, always hung around with him. Well liked by most of the kids, he becomes one of Maxie's closest friends, but he struggles to get on with Achilleus, who blames Freak for the deaths of Arran and Deke in the swimming pool episode. "Just John" fatally stabs Freak as Freak saves Maxie. His real name is David.

This book was genuinely creepy and I like to think I’m made of strong stuff. Unless clowns are involved… and boats….and, like, those huge Australian bugs that Mandee and Reynje take so much pleasure in sending me pictures of when I’m expecting wallabies and koala bears. The fourth book in the series, and along with The Fallen, the fourth book chronologically. It was released 20th September, 2012. It follows three major story lines, with a few chapters following other characters; is the year of zombies, with Brad Pitt's World War Z and Nicholas Holt's Warm Bodies films hitting cinemas. Andy Thomas ("Big Nose") – A guard at the palace who guards the door to the infirmary where Maxie and Blue are held captive. He seems doubtful that David will manage to take over London and he would rather be a farmer than a guard. After Achilleus and Lewis free Maxie and Blue, Big Nose begs to be taken with them when they leave, as he has had enough of David and knows he will be punished if he stays. They oblige, and he is among those to escape the palace, though he is apparently not sure he made the right choice. Small Sam and the Kid leave the safety of the Tower in search of his sister, but along the way they are trapped and must fight to escape.Greg and Liam Thorne are invited to Paul MacLaren's farm in Maidstone to wait out the outbreak. [3] But aside from that, the development of the kids, the different groups and cultures that have sprung up in these groups is good worldbuilding. Each different group of kids has it's own customs, traditions, languages and while they're not /too different/ they all still have their quirks and its just interesting. The expansion of the world just in one book was great. Tommy - A boy who was thought to be being healed by Dr. Catell. It is later discovered that he was being eaten alive while being preserved by medicine. Arran Harper – The charismatic and intelligent first leader of the Waitrose group, and the novel's false protagonist. He is bitten by a zombified woman whom he believes was his mother and, soon afterwards, is shot by an arrow from Sophie's bow. He has feelings for Maxie, but, as he dies, he is unable to follow up on those feelings. Note: Some of the characters here are in other sections due to changing their groups and so may not be linked here, though they shall be linked in their first mentioned section. Rowhurst boys

Small Sam and his unlikely ally, The Kid, have survived. They're safe with Ed and his friends at the Tower of London, but Sam is desperate to find his sister. Chris Marker, a former student of Rowhurst, begins to write an account of what has happened since the infection. He titles this epic The Chronicles of Survival. Saint George- A fat, balding adult in a Saint George shirt. He is far more intelligent than most adults, even to the extent of being able to remember some words and to plan. Toward the end of the book it is revealed that he is capable of thought and has a plan to hunt down and devour all children. Franny – David's head farmer at the palace. She works hard. She wears glasses and overalls, and seems to have feelings for David. The kids from the Houses of Parliament mostly vote on things and their leaders and have little fighters, relying mostly on the hunters. It is shown that they rarely leave the confines of the Houses, and they have some knowledge of what lies within the No Go Zone.

Keep in touch

My favorite scene, however, took place toward the end. Two hardcore guys have an intense fight to the death. Oh my word. I could barely read it, yet I was fascinated. There was so much tension and repulsion and the stakes have never been higher. Shout-out to Achilleus, the fighter I was rooting for. Sorry you didn't make my "favorite characters" list, buddy, but sometimes you scared me. Arran—A leader we all hope for in real life. One who pulls everyone together by example, strength, and teamwork.
