About this deal

What did stand out for both models was the consistency. Many golfers are concerned about balls from smaller companies because of quality control issues. In all the wedge shots I hit, I did not get a single unexpected result. Long Game The ionomer mantle and resilient core work together to optimize energy transfer and reduce spin on longer shots. How did I like them? The Vice Pro Plus golf balls performed really well for me and I found them pretty similar to the ProV1x balls from Titleist. The distance was just as long as some of the higher-end balls and they didn’t launch as high (which some lower handicaps will like). The only downside is that you have to buy in bulk to get them cheap and the durability isn’t as good as it should be.

I think they were longer because they didn’t spin as much and the ball tended to fly straighter. It’s not going to fix a hook or slice (no ball will) but it’ll definitely help a bit. If you do have a slower swing speed then you won’t get much distance with these and you should go with something softer like ones of these. Or perhaps players who prefer a more robust golf ball that can withstand the rigors of multiple rounds. Vice Pro vs. Pro Plus: What are the Differences? While the Pro Plus is better suited to players who prioritize distance and a more penetrating ball flight. The urethane cover imparts excellent greenside spin, allowing players to execute delicate shots around the green. So, if you want more stopping power on the greens, you may want to go with the Pro Plus. It’s slightly harder than the Vice Pro and will give you that advantage when playing. Performance

With the price of Pro Plus balls approximately 25% less than premium choices, it will not hurt to lose golf balls anymore. Durability True Price is how we quantify the quality of a golf ball. It's a projection of what you'd have to spend to ensure you get 12 good balls. Its softer urethane cover and three-piece construction lend themselves to a more responsive touch, making it a popular choice among golfers who rely heavily on finesse and touch. VICE offers the Pro Plus in three colors – white, Neon Red, and Neon Lime. The Pro is offered in those three colors plus Shade (grey) and unique Drip patterns.

BEST VICE GOLF BALL FOR HIGH SPEED SWINGS

They weren’t the most forgiving ball on the market but I’ll definitely say they were more forgiving than a ProV (for me anyway). I’m not saying that’ll be the case for you but it was for me and I’ve read other people say the same. As the Ball Lab database has grown, we’ve come to understand that quality typically begins and ends at the factory level. While there can be some variance between models—for example, low-compression balls tend to be less consistent than high-compression balls—for the most part, we have a good idea of what to expect from balls coming out of any given facility. Again … speaking to patterns … while Foremost excels at making balls all the same size, the layers aren’t always evenly distributed. In every case where we flagged a ball as bad, it was because of a significant concentricity issue with the mantle layer, the cover or both. I don’t use ProV golf balls often but I did find them to be pretty similar and a lot of people are saying the same thing. I still don’t use the Pro Plus balls because the ones I prefer are slightly better for my swing and are a bit cheaper. Overall, I’d say they’re a good golf ball and would give them a thumbs up. If you want a more detailed review or you want to find out where the cheapest place to get them is, then continue reading. While off-center cores are easily recognizable, the experts we’ve worked with in developing our Ball Lab standards agree these seemingly small inconsistencies in the outer layers will often have a more significant performance impact than cores that are slightly off-center.

Vice balls also have a higher compression rating in comparison to some leading brands but expert claims it is not always rigidly about compression figures as many other things like dimples, cover material, core, etc determine overall performance. We’re caught up and that means the Vice Pro has the distinction of being the first ball for which we have two generations’ worth of data in Ball Lab. So, in addition to our standard Ball Lab metrics, having a bit of history allows us to compare quality across generations and see where things have improved, devolved or stayed the same. About the Vice Pro Golf Ball In our sample of the 2016 Vice Pro, 17 percent of the balls we measured exceeded the USGA weight limit (and flagged as “bad” accordingly). Without mincing words, the Vice Pro and Pro Plus are high-quality golf balls with unique performance characteristics that cater to all golfers.Foremost does an outstanding job with size so it’s not surprising that we had no issues with diameter across our Vice Pro samples. We found no significant issues with the Vice Pro covers. Foremost’s cast urethane process appears to produce few meaningful defects. Vice Pro Golf Ball Consistency

One other issue is the availability of the balls. Since they’re are much cheaper than premium balls and perform equally well, they sell out pretty fast. The first aspect to examine when comparing the Vice Pro and Pro Plus is their respective construction.

Long Game

The exteriors also have a 336 dimpled designed, which help the aerodynamics of ball landing, making the ball fly through air. With the new Vice Pro, we’re happy to report that all of the balls conformed to the USGA’s maximum weight specification.
