MediaPlayerLite is an extremely light-weight DSS player for Windows. It looks just like Windows Media Player v6.4, but has additional features for playing your media including: Device Settings: This option opens the “Device” tab within the DSS Player Standard software, here all the settings to do with devices can be configured. The Olympus DS-2600 comes with DSS Player Standard (Windows & Mac OS). This user friendly software gives a complete overview of all of your dictations for easy management. Olympus DSS Player also imports your dictations onto the computer from the device.Once installed you can find the application in your start menu and you can pin this to your taskbar. Depending on what license key was entered during the installation you will have either the Dictation Module or the Transcription Module. You may have both modules installed if you ran the installation twice and entered two licenses. The DS-2600 is the ONLY entry-level dictation device that provides users an intuitive slide switch control. This allows for fast and intuitive file editing, so you can be sure to create rich, detailed and accurate recordings every time. DSS files are really not that common, however, you might come across them.
