About this deal

Ready to go straight from the box, just charge up your batteries and youre ready to crush the opposition! Looking a roto starters and box starters atm and cant make my mind up which one is the better. I like the idea of still having the pull start option still and with going with a roto starter I wont have this option, but the starter box option seems a bit heavy and needs a car battery available. The chassis of the Trophy 3.5 buggy is made from 6061 aluminum for an excellent combination of strength and light weight. The low weight allows for faster acceleration, and the durability means you can have the confidence to pull off insane stunts and jumps! The HPI Racing Trophy 3.5 Buggy is a radio controlled toy that is designed for off-road racing enthusiasts. It features a durable and lightweight aluminum housing material, ensuring resilience against rough terrains. With its dimensions of 518 millimeters in length, 300 millimeters in width, and 180 millimeters in height, this 1:8 scale buggy offers a compact yet powerful performance. The awesome HPI Trophy buggy has just been refreshed with glitch free 2.4Ghz radio gear and waterproof electronics!

a 4.6 .28 engine will fit in the trophy with ease. (just liek the hypers with .28 engines ect) and will handle the extra power, but its weather you can The chassis of the HPI Racing Trophy 3.5 Buggy is also made of aluminum, providing stability and durability during intense races. It features a built-in servo, which enhances the responsiveness of the vehicle to the user's commands.

A steel spur gear takes the power from the engine and transmits it through a central differential, which transfers power to the front and rear diffs by long central driveshafts. The front and rear bevel differentials use 4 internal gears for excellent durability over standard 2-gear diffs. The diff outdrives turn tough steel outdrives and axles, and 17mm orange anodized aluminum hex adapters spin the 7-spoke wheels, which are wrapped with Team HB Proto design rubber racing tires.

To increase the chassis stiffness, it’s fitted with metal rod braces front and rear – this allows the suspension to do all the work it’s designed to do for improveed driving feel and control without chassis twist or bending getting in the way. Originally we were just for the Trophy 4.6 Truggy, but as the Trophy 3.5 Buggy is so similar, we let them in too!! And HPI are also releasing electric versions of the cars, who are going to be welcome here!!There are essentially three reasons you might want to buy a used HPI Trophy 3.5 Nitro Buggy; you may be a collector, looking to restore and display it; restore and sell for a profit; or simply restore and race an iconic vintage model. Personally, I used to get a buzz out of restoring an old clapped-out model, installing modern day electrics and maybe a few hop-ups, then showing the gang at our local club, just how competitive those old models could still be. If the body shell of your HPI Trophy 3.5 is broken, ripped or damaged in any way, this can be easily repaired with rubber solution glue. Also, for added protection and if available for your Trophy 3.5 model, fit an under guard to stop dirt and gravel entering the chassis. I find that priming with my finger over the exhaust, until fuel gets to the top of the engine feedpipe, and then ten more pulls gives it enough fuel to get a good start. Just make sure your glowplug is fully charged. I also heat the engine with a hairdyer, if at home, or with the engine up to the car heater vents, with full heat, for a minute or two helps to warm the engine up. Although pull starts are a pain because they brake often enough, it is the lighest choice. And you can buy 1 or 2 spare pull starts and when they brake, you immediately replace with a good one and repair the bad one for next time.

Featuring a fresh new chassis look with orange anodised components, the HPI Trophy buggy looks better than ever! Thanks for that DLD, I am swayed by a starter box and thinking about it were I plan to drive around to I will need to drive there so power isn't an issue really. The car is your typical 1/8 scale buggy design with 3 gear differentials that can be filled with different diff oils to change the handling of the buggy. This drive train design has also proven to be near built proof over many years. The Trophy Truggy FLUX is completely painted and assembled for you, fitted with an HPI 2.4GHz radio system and ready for you to add two 2S LiPo batteries! You'll get to experience 14.4 volts of monster power driving 1965KV of brushless power!HPI Ready-To-Run vehicles bring you the same high performance and quality that you’d expect from a high end RC kit but with the added convenience of being factory pre-assembled to the highest standards – giving you a high performance RC car straight from the box!
