Overall, it would be great if the manufacturer improved the wheels and filter, but its nice they included either so i cant complain and the actual compressor itself is great. Surprisingly quiet, which will help if I forget to turn it off and it starts up in the small hours. It is pretty powerful - buzzed off the wheel nuts my previous compressor struggled with. The best way to choose an air compressor is to already have in mind the air tools you plan on using it with as different air tools place different demands on the machine. Once you have identified the equipment it will be 'powering', you are then in a position to identify the parameters needed on the air compressor to have those air tools work properly. The two overriding characteristics of an air compressor to pay attention to are the maximum air pressure it can produce, and the free air delivery or air flow at the outlet that it is able to sustain. The wheels are a bit useless, i may have moutned them wrong but the instructions were useless and i couldnt see a better way, thankfully i dont plan to move it but its definitely better than no wheels. Weighing only 15kg the HY5508 whisper compressor is lighter than your conventional piston type air compressor and is completely oil-free, so there is no risk of oil contamination in the air supply. WOW ... SO impressed. It fills in about the same time my old 25 ltr took it is SO quiet (for a compressor). I'd say something similar to a modern washing machine. Like the air compressor from SGS, the ParkerBrand 24L machine has a 2.5 hp motor and a relatively small 24 litre air receiver, which together maintain the air pressure in the tank at approximately 115 psi and provide a maximum air displacement value of 9.6 CFM.
